I'm still building rail on Sicily and I'm thinking I could probably use their services better in the Rome area.

Here's what Rome looks like now: Hey I'm wondering if I'm on schedule historically........anybody know?

In the meantime you're way ahead of schedule. Historically Rome fell on June 5th 1944.

So Steve probably thinks he needs to do some tweaking of the scenario now so that the Allies are held up at the Gustav Line
for a little bit longer. I only got the best of them because they left holes in the front lines.

Here's the NE section of the front lines in T58:

I would drive this paratroop brigade into the airfield and fly them next turn except for the fact that I have no air points to fly them.

I think all available transport has been transferred to England in preparation for Overlord.
I'm still building rail on Sicily and I'm thinking I could probably use their services better in the Rome area.

Gela to Messina is the only line worth rebuilding on Sicily, because if I remember correctly some Allied reinforcements arrive along that line, and then you can rail them to Messina to get on ships to go to the mainland.
So Steve probably thinks he needs to do some tweaking of the scenario now so that the Allies are held up at the Gustav Line for a little bit longer.

I may have to steal some of Bob's Tobruk minefields and put them to use in Italy. [;)]

Here's the T58 front lines. I'm still pushing north and mopping up the G line and pushing the rail lines north from Anzio. I sailed in some
more RR engineers to boost the speed of repair.

I'm running into the low supply areas again. So I guess I'd best start looking for the next supply source. And work my way over there.

So um......hey Steve: I don't see any supply points north of Rome. You mean I gotta build railroads from there headed north to fight the
war? It's going to be a long war.

What is that program you use to display the supply / inventory stuff?

Just getting back into TOAWIII after quite a few years off.

Also, which map/counter mods you using?

I just reinstalled and pated up to 3.4, and am using the default stuff.

Do you use JSGME to swap out the mods stuff?

It's just a cut and paste of a screenshot from the TOAW display(s). I'm using MSPaint for my graphics program and can crop and
edit the picture and then use it in the AAR. It's tedious but fun.

EDIT: I just re-read what you asked me and realized that it's ambiguous and COULD mean what do I use from the previous
picture and the answer to THAT is the TOAW Scenario Viewer program. And I got it from somebody or other I don't remember
but I'm pretty sure I can send you a copy of it if you'd like. There's also a TOAW Equipment Editor as well if you're buiding
scenario's and need something like that. Or you want to look through somebody else's EQP file.

Well then, welcome back and good hunting. A good PBEM player who will answer your questions would be a good thing to do to
come up to speed quickly. Either that or post your question *here* if you'd like and one of my readers or I will be glad to try to give
an answer.

Um........I'd be guessing if I said anything but my mind seems to fetch the JMOD phrase from my recent past.

No I just copied the files to the appropriate directory and voila` it worked. I had to restart TOAW to see the change but that's trivial.

Hey something that showed up in turn 60 is elements of the 5th Canadian Armoured Division. It's on Sicily unfortunately, so it'll be a few
days until they will be able to be in active combat mode. I was wondering if I had to fight the war with what was on hand. Maybe I
should take a look at the expected reinforcements again.

I had to read this screen twice. First time I thought it said that B-52H's were something or other instead of B-25H's. Almost bent my
head reading that the first time.

Here's the T61 front lines. Still pressing north. My partisans are going crazy blowing bridges and converting road hexes.

I've been doing a "save game" every once in a while and now have several files and can supply any or all of them to whoever would like
to peruse them for whatever reason. Just a thought.

I've got a lot of units lined up on the "most supply path" route so they can refuel and get ready to go out again. The rail from Anzio is
getting longer each turn but it's not nearby yet. Supply is the biggest problem and you know, it would really be helpful if I knew where the
next supply source could be had. But I couldn't find any north of Rome on the list of Supply Sources except for Toulouse and it's behind
a barrier or some kind..

I could use a shot of turn 54. Maybe I can figure out where the Anzio Counter Attack Group went to. [:(]

And turn 54 is attached to this post. Just truncate off the dot txt from the end of the filename and you should have the save file.

This is the problem I'm running into. Low supply. The units go yellow quickly and I have to send them back to refuel. I've got units doing
out and back in the pipeline and we're advancing but it's slow.

So um....what is it exactly that isn't working? It isn't showing up as a file to choose, or you can't truncate off the dot txt from the
filename? It won't load right in TOAW? It causes a blue screen of death? Can't download the file?

Have you tried to do a "save as" on the link and THEN maybe it doesn't work? I need more data to compute the cause of the
problem. Do I need to reattach it to the post? Do I need to give you a different turn? Actually maybe we should try that.

EDIT: I just clicked on the link to give the filename display then did a "save link as" and saved it as a text file with a really long
mathematical name: A6J9B45593DC93B.txt or sometlhing like that. Then I changed the dot txt on the end to dot sal and
loaded it into TOAW and it worked just fine. I really don't know what problemo you're having.
