I had hoped to have a little more to report in the air war, but alas, no joy today.

A very tough weekend. Tonight was supposed to be a small soiree for Rob and Maria to celebrate a long and successful marriage and Marias birthday.
It was to be an intimate affair, three couples whose children saw elementary school and college together in various combinations. A chance to talk
about our kids, our lives, and what the hell is going on in this country. Another asshole with a gun took Rob from us while he was working in his newsroom.
This has effected me deeply. Our children are in shock and the wives are scared sh-tless. Helpless. I only post this here to let everyone take a second for
Rob. He was a people guy. His interest was always the people over the event. He tirelessly sought the human element in every story. He would have
loved to talk to each and every one of you. You would have remembered him fondly for his true interest in you. Peace.

OK, March is over. It was a long month of attrition for the Chinese, it was costly to allied air power in terms of frames and pilots lost. There
were some positive moments and another division has left the states for the front. Cebu falls. Luzon holds but only ties down two divisions.
The IJA is on mainland Australia and I am unclear of Francois's intentions for summer.

I wasnt on the Forum this weekend, so I just read this post. My sincerest condolences for the loss of your friend, and to the families of the other victims of yet another senseless shooting....

Sorry for your loss of a very close and dear friend. I lived in MD. from 2002-2013 and Annapolis 2005-2013. I use to get the paper when I lived there so I no doubt read many of his articles. The shooter was obviously a disturbed individual who had a long standing grudge against one writer, no longer at the paper and editor, also no longer at the paper. It doesn't explain why he would target those still there as his trouble was caused by his conviction in 2010 for what we call now "cyber-stalking and harassment." It just makes us look at making the most we can of each day as we never know when the end may come for us or those we love and how that end maybe.
