Turn 10. Mar/Apr 1941. Battle of the Atlantic.
Axis #6.
1. 3 German battleships in Brest attempt to run the RN blockade. The BBs Scharnhorst & Gneiseanu are successful and make their way to the North Atlantic. The BB Bismarck isn't able to get through and goes on raid/patrol in the Bay of Biscay.
2. Battle of the Atlantic Continues to Rage.
3. Axis subs in the North Atlantic sink the RN CVL Hermes, 200,000 more tons of shipping and force another 400,000 tons of shipping to abort.
4. PM Churchill and British Isles in Crisis. Lifeline Hangs by a Threat Due to Axis Subs.
Allied #9.
1. REDEMPTION in the North Atlantic!
2. Though outgunned, the RN heavy cruisers York and Gloucester manage to surprise and get the drop of the 2 KM surface raiders. In exchange of naval gunfire all four capital ships receive modest damage and are forced to abort from the sea area.
3. RN blockaiding forces in the Bay of Biscay are not able to intercept the aborting German BBs as they return to Brest. Also, these RN forces fail to find the BB Bismarck still at sea there.
