Turn 11
End of Turn Smolensk
This was end of turn for Smolensk area. I am really not trying to hold anything since trying to do so almost always leads to failure this early in the game even against tired & low supply Germans. Happy with the results and should see these units either surrounded or routed with high losses.

Turn 11
End of Turn
Front line North to South. I have hidden the combat values now since some parts of the line are stagnant and doing close to real turn.

Turn 11
End turn 11 thoughts
At this point in the game I will need to start standing ground. The weather has 100% been on my side so far this game. BUT normally I will end up with a milder blizzard I would almost bet you. But that is fine since I really don't plan on attacking much during the winter. Unless I am forced to. I am happy with the Air war

Re: The RED Fires of Hell (HLYA as Soviets VS Unknown German)
Ouch the Axis player must have thought that was a pretty solid part of the line. Full German infantry divisions in either forests or entrenchment are normally really good defenders. I wouldn't be surprised if Smolensk was a super depot when you took it - the Kaluga offensive might get a little deflated in that case!

I know it's NEE, but may I trouble you for a VP count?

Re: The RED Fires of Hell (HLYA as Soviets VS Unknown German)
I believe you may be correct. Turn 12 sees the cleanup of this area (which I am getting ready to post) and turn 13 is kind of quiet..... too quiet. So that leads me to believe your conclusion is probably correct. But yeah I love doing an offense on either side of my opponents offense.K62 wrote: Mon Jul 31, 2023 2:39 am Ouch the Axis player must have thought that was a pretty solid part of the line.
