July/August 1945. Allied #7. Japan. Allied Massive Reorg Effort (5 of 5).

A three corps and one division are successfully re-org. No all the allies need is for the game to continue for two more impulse and for their third, or fourth, attack on Kyoto to be successful.

July/August 1945. Axis #9.

Anxious for this turn to end Japan begs German and Italy to pass. But, they (Germany and Italy) take a land. Japan, who realy doesn't have anything to do, passes. This means that the end of game chance is 30% at the end of this impulse.

July/August 1945. Axis #9. The Eastern Front.

Germany plays its last O-chits to re-organize all of its dis-organized HQ units. Germany realizes that this may be their last impulse, even if the game continues and passes to the allies. As such, they really want to continue to shred the Soviet Army to make sure that they know when an armistice (not surrender) is offered to them that it's in their best interest to accept it.

Army Group Center conducts four land combats and Army Group South one.

July/August 1945. Axis #9. Army Group South. Astrakham, USSR. Land Combat.

Switching to Army Group South, they make an all out bid to completely annihilate the Soviet Southern (Caspian Sea) Front. It's a low odds attack that fails miserably. Again, nothing good happens with the attacker rolls a "one" during land combat.

July/August 1945. Axis #9. The Eastern Front. Massive HQ Reorg Effort (1 of 3).

Just on the off chance that the axis get another impulse the Germans launch a massive re-org effort across the entire Eastern Front.

July/August 1945. Allied #11.

The turn continues on a roll of 9 against the 30% chance that it would end. The US takes a land and plays it's last (or next to last?) O-chit. I wonder if the double O-chits played last impulse by the US only counted as one? Or, if I've miss counted?

July/August 1945. Allied #11. Japan. Nimitz's HQ.

The O-chit is played with Nimitz to double US attack factors for the land combat on Kyoto.

July/August 1945. Allied #11. Kyoto, Japan. Land Combat.

Even doubled the best odds that the Americans can manage to get for the attack on Kyoto is 3:1 (46:14). Though disorganized by the attack, the Americans destroy the last Japanese unit in Japan and take the last held Japanese city. The conquest of Japan is now complete!

July/August 1945. Allied #11.

It's the end of the turn, which equates to the end of the game! Before I get to the final victory totals, I have several caps showing the military situation across the world at the end of the war.

Hey! Shouldn't that say that Japan was completely conquered by the United States! [;)]

July/August 1945. Destroyed Pool.

By the way, the Soviet Army was shredded again this turn, so I think they would be glad to accept the worldwide ceasefire, that is, armistice.
