Hi all,
My uncle had Sinclair ZX Spectrum and I used quite a bit in 1982/1983 before I bought Commodore 64 (1984). In 1986 I bought Atari ST 512 (expanded to 1024) and used it until I bought my 1st PC in 1993 (Intel 486 DX2 66MHz)...

Whoa there partner. Let's not go so fast. Not all of us have PhDs in cooking. Now this boiling water you speak of-what uses are there for such an aqueous preparation?[:'(]
Making tea, for one. I'm sure Sprior or Dixie can explain it better, but basically you boil some water, put some dried grass in it (no, not THAT kind of grass!) and drink it.
Dried leaves actually.

There are many different approaches to the institution that is tea.
Some people prefer teabags, whilst I find that the best flavour is achieved with loose tea. [;)]
And don't forget the actual type of tea, Earl Grey? Assam? Darjeeling? Or one of those gay ones with added flavours like vanilla or something.
Do you want to add milk or sugar? How strong do you want your drink? Some people add the milk before the hot water, some after. It's an entire world of potential choices [:D]

I prefer loose for hot tea and bags for ice tea. The latter being more of a convenience thing than flavor, since we cold-brew our ice tea. Cold water in pitcher, tea bags in pitcher, pitcher in fridge....in the morning, ice tea.
FYI, these folks have some excellent teas: http://www.harney.com/
