Summer here (both days) are beautiful. It's mid-70s, sunny and pleasant. It can't last.

Howdy USS Mike, bradfordkay, and rum lovers everywhere [;)]. Mount Gay has an incredibly well made and well priced high end offering called Black Barrel. Wasn't aware of it till my shipper at Hi-Times Cellars, in Cali, subbed in a couple bottles with a note that just said 'try this'. I did and, after I woke up, changed my regular order. That stuff is excellent (excelente). As tasty as Pussers but without the sharpness/bitterness. At $25.00 a fifth, I just found my ultimate go-to rum.

ps, for all you serious rum drunks out there, this is a rum that you might want to sip neat to fully appreciate. It's really good. Trust me [8D]

Yeah, I forgot about Mount Gay... I haven't seen it in a long time either. If they don't have Lamb's at the superstore when I go I'll look for Mount Gay. I still have half a bottle of Pusser's at the moment, so I'm not in a big hurry.

I learned to drink my rum neat when I was captaining a private family Columbia 39 up in the Hamptons back in the mid-1980s. On a small boat like that ice is quite precious - too precious for the crew to have any so I gave up on mixing my drinks. I started out with Meyers Dark and kept searching for good, flavorful rums.

It's my B-Day. And I just got turned down for a great job that I was told by the interviewer I was perfect for. It went to HR, and I "Did not pass the back ground check". I have Top Secret clearance... [:(]
