RE: THE THREAD!!!
Monday tithe.
Traffic early this morning was insane.
I get to work, and while getting into customer networks I go to the news!
- Man, 81, accidentally shoots self after sneezing
Then, from those Down Under
Northwest Australia - Two families went camping along the St. Mary river. The dads challeneged each other to a race across the river. Halfway across there was a great splash, one vanished, and the large tail of a reptile was briefly seen. Authorities fear he was taken by a large crocidile. There are warnings posted not to swim, and to stay at least 5 meters away from the waters edge. Authorities believe alchohol may have been a contributing factor [8|]
Lastly, Miley Cyrus was on TV last night. Can someone just yank that...person...off the stage? Permanently?
This planet is in trouble, I may head to Chile with Symon.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
One wishes that we could apologize for the shooting of that promising Aussie lad in Oklahoma by substituting Miley Cyrus for the unfortunate bloke eaten by the saltie. If only I could rule the world and make it so. [:(]

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Jeff,
December corn at $4.98, up $0.28 today alone. I'm lookin' forward to that case to cool off from all this heat. Speaking of the heat, it ain't gonna help yield none. "August rain makes corn". It's been drier than **** this month across the midwest. I'm afraid that you fell for USDA's borked predictions, mate.
ETA: Oops. Now it's $5.02 & 6/8. [:D]
ETA II: Minutes later, $5.06 (&6/8). It's up $0.36 today and climbing...

Or force the 3 individuals involved in OK to swim that afore mentioned river. With blinders on. In cuffs. Live, on the tele.

Today's lesson: If ever you are "immortalized" on your headstone in a gaudy picture etching (life-sized too!), try not to have a Daewoo as your prize automobile that you're showing off, will 'ya? [:D]

From airplane porn to food porn. Chicken Teriyaki.
1 brown it just a bit. 2 add wine and other goodies. 3 after it's almost done, add the teriyaki stuff.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Let it cook till the teriyaki stuff carmelizes - a couple minutes is all it takes. Reserve 2 tbs of teriyaki stuff; one tbs for the sesame/garlic asparagus, the other to deglaze.

slice the chicken and serve over a bed of aromatic rice (jasmine or preferably basmati). Deglaze pan with 1 tbs teriyaki stuff, 1 tbs sake, 1 tbs white wine. Let it lightly boil (5-10 seconds), then drizzle over chicken/rice and asparagus. Simple, cheap, easy, impresses the ladies, and it's not quiche. Yum, yum, yum.
ps. I use half the sugar the recipe calls for. I use Morena brand mexican pure cane. Find it on the mexican isle at Winn-Dixie. It's unrefined pure cane. It costa less than the same size bag of Dixie Crystals. Tastes 1000% better and is probably better for ya. But it's Mexican, so it has to crap, right? [:D]

RE: THE THREAD!!!
I serve it over a bed of rice because that's the kinda sorta traditional way. Asparagus on the side. But you can slice the chicken over the asparagus. There's no really Korekt way to serve it. I've used the reserved teriyaki sauce as a base for a spinach salad dressing (teriyaki spinach salad); made teriyaki topped baked potatoes (chicken and beef). The only trick, and it's not a trick is make and add the teriyaki sauce separate. Keep your ingredients separate, and add them at seperate times. That way every addition point becomes a departure point for your imagination.ORIGINAL: Chickenboy
Serve with rice or just with the asparagus, John? Looks quite nice.
