Real men don't eat quiche. Yeah, not ...
So here's a bacon, artichoke, swiss cheese, spinach, quiche that will turn you into a nice, brown, Chilean, Hombre del Sur.
Recipe to come. JWE

Looks great, John. Quiche is one of those things that are so easy to make and so economical (throwing in whatever is left in the fridge) that I always wonder why we don't do 'em more often.

Friend turned me on to Charlotte Church and the London Welsh Men's Choir singing Men of Harlech in Gaelic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz9_ELpil9w
If you are Welsh, Scots, Irish, Breton, Catalan, Valenciano, this will stir your Celtic soul and make you weep.
Men of Harlech on to glory
This will every be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Cambria will not yield

I know it says Welshmen, but Celts everywhere can claim brotherhood with this. And Oh my God! she sang most of it accompanied with just a Harp.
Should I post the gaelic lyrics? Oh what the heck. There's a gazillion versions of this, but here's Charlotte's.
Wele goelcerth wen yn fflamio
A thafodau tan yn bloeddio,
Ar I'r dewrion ddod I daro,
Unwaith eto n un:
Gan fanllefau'r tywysogion
Llais gelynion, trwst arfogion,
A charlamiad y marchogion,
Craig ar graig a grbn!
Arfon byth ni orfydd.
Cenir yn dragywydd;
Cymru fydd fel Cymru fu,
Yn glodus ymysg gwledydd,
'Nghwyn oleuni'r goelcerth acw,
Tros wefusau Cymro'n marw,
Annibyniaeth sydd yn galw,
Am ei dewraf dyn.
Cymru fo am byth.
Cymru fo am byth.
Cymru fo am byth.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
And there was a very different set of verses, sung by the Royal Regiment of Wales Choir at the Church at Rorke’s Drift at the 120th anniversary.
Tongues of fire on Idris flaring;
News of foe-men near declaring;
To heroics of deeds of daring;
Call you, Harlech men.
Groans of wounded peasants dying;
Wails of wives and children flying;
For the distant succor crying;
Call you Harlech men.
Shall the voice awaiting,
Now be unavailing,
You to rouse who never yet,
In battle’s hour were failing.
This our answer crowds down pouring,
Swift as winter’s torrents roaring,
Not in vain the voice implores that,
Calls on Harlech men.
Loud the martial pipes are sounding;
Every manly heart is bounding;
As out trusted chiefs surrounding;
March we Harlech men
Short the sleep the foe is taking;
Ere the morrows morn is breaking;
They shall have a rude awakening;
Roused by Harlech men.
Mothers cease your weeping,
Calm may be your sleeping,
You and yours in safety now,
The Harlech men are keeping.
Ere the sun is high in heaven,
They you fear, by panic riven,
Shall like frightened sheep be driven,,
Far, by Harlech men
Kinda think any version sung really and truly ends with "Cymru fo am byth"
[ed] Oh God, I am so sorry, I forgot.
God save the Queen!
Ciao. John
