Damaged Gun

Post by comte »

The BC Renown has a damaged gun do any of you guys know how long it will take to fix this ship. Also do I have to send it to a level 9 or higher port with repair facilities to get it fixed?

RE: Damaged Gun

Post by Connfire »

There's a chance the gun will be repaired every turn she is disbanded at port size 5 or higher. Of course, if you do that at a port size 5 it may take quite awhile. The higher the port size, and the smaller the weapon system, the better the chances of repair. I'm sure berthing her in a repair shipyard and/or having ARs on hand must also factor, too.

If it were me, I'd send her to Singapore, so she can be nearby if there's an emergency. Of course, there's an equal chance if I really needed her for an upcoming operation I'd keep her around even minus the gun. She only has a system damage of 3.

RE: 11/18/22 Failure at Tsingtao

Post by Mundy »

ORIGINAL: Aces8

Well I sent a large Allied expedition up to Tsingtao to probe the line and maybe capture the city but from the start the expedition was a disaster bad weather really raised the fatigue on all my units. My Army reached the fortifications of Tsingtao only to find themselves outnumbered by a well entrenched enemy force that outnumbered them a total disaster. Well now they get to make the long trek back to Shanghai. [:(]

Same experience here. In my first game I overran them fairly easily, but in my current game, got beat up badly.

I decided to let them stew there. They're the only IJA presence on the mainland, outside of Korea, so I figured they're low-risk enough.
