Ok have emailed Michael, he is a non drinker and does need help with a PC. Is there anyone unhappy that money donated for booze gets turned into a computer?

If anyone else would like to donate towards the PC I can keep this open another day or two.

Cheers

Rob

I'll have a drink in his honor on my end and be happy we could help with a new computer for Michael!

What a great community to be a part of! [8D]

IMHO, absolutely use it for help with a PC. I'm sending a little more by paypal since this new purpose seems much more significant and in tune with the season at hand. [:)]

How much has been collected ?

jrcar has to come up with that, since he has all money now! [:D] From what I saw in thus thread, US$ 350 and AU$ 250 (estimation), so not too bad combined. [8D]

If someone doesn't have a Paypal account, the link I posted accepts credit cards without needing an account.  That's still active if someone needs to go that route.  I'll send on any funds to Rob.

BTW, I sent around $435 USD yesterday.  I don't know what Rob collected, but the last he posted he had around $200 ASD.

Getting him a computer is a great idea... but isn't it a bit self serving? [:D]

Isn't it better to get him what he wants rather than what we may think he wants?  He doesn't drink, but he obviously uses a computer a lot and his regular use computer just died and he expressed to Rob that he would like to get a new one.

I assume he does other things with the computer than just work on AE.  He might have some work from his day job he brings home, or maybe it's possible he even plays this game a bit for his own recreation.

I was joking, I think it's perfect [8D] (Meant it to come across as "that's a great idea, I like it!"

and then... also, isn't that self-serving of us... (not a bad thing of course).

I'm sure he'll love it!

Quick update, we raised about AUD$800 in total (some people sent me in non Australian currency, so not exactly sure until I withdraw it). Aranging a suitable transfer mechanism to Michael.

Cheers
