I just wanted to say "Nice job!" to the creator. Appreciate the effort. When work dies down in a few weeks (months? [:(]) I will give it a try.

Here is overall view of all 8 nations counters
still under devellopment of course

Sorry to add a dampener to this incredible piece of work, but is there any chance that the white straps (sorry don't know the actual name) could be toned down? I really like these, but I feel as they are, they detract from the other information on the counters. Could they be made less 'obvious' and more in the background perhaps?

That aside, great work gents [&o]

hello Warspite1

I can play on transparency level for stripes , but I notice it makes pink stripes for British units, so not that nice.
But anyway still work in progress...

some Spanish grenadier in the middle of the garden[&:]
Just design stage...

every unit will have proper national color and appropriate portrait (actually French/British/Spanish are almost completes)
All others nations got spanish figures now and will be finally changed

Cool! [8D]

No - pink strapping is not good [;)]

As someone said, the varied uniforms are one of the reasons that this time period is so wonderful to wargame. I love the fact that you have different counters to distinguish between Scottish and English.

One question: What scale are the cavalry counters? I assume the numerals for the infantry are brigade, division, corps etc. What about the cavalry? Personally I can't wait to go into battle with the 2nd (Union) Cavalry Brigade.... the English (Royal) Regiment of Dragoons, the Royal Scots Greys and the Irish 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons.... I've gone weak at the knees just thinking about it [:D].

....and as for HM Ships Victory, Temeraire, Royal Sovereign and co......[&o]

The 3 Cavalry counters are more cavalry types than "sized"
I think size could be Brigade or division, it will be up to Kirk wich is the campaign designer

from top to bottom on image

Light Cavalry (Hussards, Chasseurs, chevau leger ect....)
I did symbolize by a "Sabretache icon" for quicker identification
Line Cavalry (Dragoons)
I did symbolize by nothing so far (still under thinking, maybe a cartridge pouch or giberne, will see)
Heavy Cavalry (Cuirassier, Carabinier, Heavy Dragoons)
I did symbolize by a "Breast Plate icon" for quicker identification.

I see you have differentiated the uniforms between french, british and other countries (Prussia, Austria, Spain, Usa, that have all the similar uniform and it would be good), but why do not differentiate for the ottomans too?

As SIPRES had already pointed out, our work is still at such an early stage that many ideas, plans and designs have been partially modified or even completely removed for various reasons. This is a normal development process. Many things, which are presented here, are still pure worksheets which we gladly show from time to time. Have some patience with three ambitious amateurs. [8D]

I like the ports and mines, but the prancing horse looks like a T-Rex dinosaur from a distance (maybe not in the actual game)

In my opinion fleets should be square counters similar to the army counters. It would be more homogeneous and (always in my opinion) more elegant.
