Filler Names

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Alexander S. Feurer
H. Austin Angles -- actually I guess you need first name, so it would be Hayden A. Angles

hi, spoke with my kid brother today and he'd like to be immortal as well :)

Could you add Jack Marchant to the RAF, preferably with any squadron that starts the game based at Exeter, if not possible could he join 263 sqn with me. not so i can look after him, just so i can slap him when he needs it ! :)

Sorry for getting in on this so late [:o]

Jim Thompson (USAF 8th B17)

Great guy,

I use to go up to Ontario years back with my Grandfather to this fly in fishing place, and it was owned by Jim. Well after years of visiting and Jim and my Grandfather having both served in WWII I got to know him very well and he would stay with us when visiting in Chicago.

The stories I heard of the bombing runs Jim piloted over Germany in his 17 would raise my hair on my arms as a little kid.

One of the stories IIRC,

Jims 17 the “DEW DROP” was limping back from a run over some ball bearing plant (or some kind of plant) in Germany and was miles out of formation with three other craft. Well sure as sh-t they got jumped, upon trying to hold some kind of formation/defense one of the 17’s lost so much altitude it literally parked itself right on top of another 17.

The two 17’s obviously did not stay in the air for two long , but the pilot on the lower craft made quit the heroic effort to keep the craft level (with in reason) so the crew/s could have a fighting chance to bail.
Well Jim told me he had is hands full and lost track of the two craft, but his crew was calling out updates /chutes .

Well to make a long story short Jim also went down that day and was captured along with his crew.

About two - three days after his capture he was interrogated on the experimental aircraft that was flying in his formation.

He would always laugh his ass off every time he told me that story.[:D]

Some of you may remember him from the popular old hunting and fishing show in B/W back in the 50’s-60’s called, I think it was on PBS

Thank you.  May  I add my wife's grandfather?  Fredrick Kluck, he would be in German night fighters.
