From my point of view you'll be 40 degrees warmer. Nice. Now go find your ice scraper.[:'(]

Okay boys. I have my fireplace ready to flame for tomorrow night and the next couple of nights. Nash I suggest you do the same. I'll bring in more firewood tomorrow. Going to be cozy here. Plus a UND hockey game. Ranked #1 again (18-2-2). Playing team USA under 18 team tomorrow. They lost to Minnesota=Duluth in overtime and beat St. Cloud State. Both nationally ranked teams.

So you boys prep up going into the arctic vortex [finger qoutes]. Nash hot buttered brandy's are great. Goldschlager schanapps also is a good cool nights comfort. So stock up buddy. Tomorrow -7F. for our high with wind chill -25F to -35F as we go to -20F. at night. Brutal stuff for anyone not from here. To me normal. Worked in it most of my younger years. Doesn't bother me a bit. Adapt. Fireplace now in the last few years realy helps as I am nearing 57 yrs this month. Same day as Rorbert E. Lee. Different years of course. Some morning getting out of bed I'm not so sure.

Three weeks ago, my daughter's Ball Python escaped his confinement. For three weeks we have been looking for him, but, being a ball python and doing what ball pythons do, his discovery eluded us. That is until late last night when Mrs. Nashvillen was working on some freezer meals in the kitchen and went into a lower cabinet to get a food processor and found Apep (the Ball Python's name) resting comfortably. Myself and my daughter had already gone to bed and she doesn't really care for the snake and didn't want to pick it up.

So, she yelled for both my daughter and me from across the house. I heard it, eventually, but my daughter responded quicker. Apep saw the gig was up and started to enter an area under the cabinets that he had made a home of since he had escaped. She was only able to get a hold of his tail and we didn't want to hurt him, so she let him go. This was under a peninsula cabinet section of the kitchen next to the stove. Only one option, go after him.

While the family was getting everything out of the cabinets and off of the counter for that area, I was looking at how everything went together and coming up with a dismantling plan to take the cabinets apart without destroying them. I gathered my tools and we started. Two hours later, Apep was in custody. He was very fat, and was evidently doing his part to keep the family safe from rodents! We estimate at least three mice were consumed in the three-week period, which is his usual food consumption rate. We went to bed with the kitchen all tore up as it was after midnight.

This morning, my daughter and I put the cabinets back together. It didn't take long, and it is giving us a chance to streamline what was being stored in that cabinet set. Overall, it is a great weekend!

That's a great story! [:)]

You might spice it up for the on-line market, though. Add some narrow escapes, or maybe how Apep coughed up a burglar's shoe - just the shoe. Hero snake! [:D]

Anyhow, this is why my brand of Python is strictly confined to cyber-space: https://www.python.org/ [:'(]

[:D][:D][:D] Too funny buddy. Took your mind off the 20F outside. -24F here this morning.
My night last night. Went to a great UND hockey game. 4-1 victory. Came home and did battle with my 5 month old Labrador. He scored a major, MAJOR victory. Lets just say I need to get a new drivers license and get over to the bank to exchange some shredded cash. New credit card is on it's way.

Yea, I know those things to happen. I used to have a python (molurus bivittatus) my own. I converted 60 square meters of my house to build it a nice home, and put my living room right into the place. It reached nearly 6 meters in length. Not much of the furniture survived the 20 years of increasing punishment.
And he learned how to open doors and turn on the light switch. Had to remove the door handle.

I can imagine you got a lot of funny stories to tell about Apep. Those are great pets.
