Western Allied figure out, that Portugal is major player in this war and they are on Axis side. So US, CW and FF declare war on Portugal. Portugal aligns with Japan, places ships to East Timor and land units to capital.

A pity the evil empire of the Allies don’t have to worry about Japanese troops now landing in Goa.

I am sorry for the delay. So much other fun stuff to ponder on in this game that I simply forgot to do it. Anyway. Here it is.

USSR has 13.5 in garrison and that rounds to 14. Japan has 6. And the peace was concluded in 1940 so the following modifiers apply.

No war in '40
4:1 in '41
2:1 in '42
1:1 in '43
2:3 in '44
1:2 in '45

So at the moment the Soviet Empire has more than 2:1 (14:6) and can declare war. Japan has only 6:14 and is a long way from being able to DOW. Japan needs 22 more points in rating to be allowed to DOW USSR.

How will the results versus the CW ships be applied? If the first D is against the BB and it becomes damaged, how will the second D be applied? What is the abort port? If the Italian SUB remains, will CW stay in the sea area?
