Solitaire - Not likely to happen as a game itself, but probably quite usefull for testing whatifs and to try out tactics, 10%

Head-to-head (Hotseat) - To phat to move that often, 0%

AI Opponent - Most likely the most used mode, as I have more free time than my friends, 55%

NetPlay - Hopefully this will be as high as 35% or maybe more.

PBEM - Nah, oldskool.

is there any value in also posting a survey asking if you would buy without an AI, with an AI to be released as a secondary version/patch/update whatever?

I think that is a good suggestion.

The idea of adding an AI after the release has been brought up before in the past in at least a few threads. As for value, an AI isn't something you just add in after the fact, it would be an enormous effort in terms of time and resources. With no pot of gold at the end of the MWIF rainbow Steve better hope that his singing quartet signs a multi-million dollar recording contract or FOX creates a new reality series on the group..."Hawaii Beat - The story of Steve"...[:D][:D][:D]

ok, ill rephrase as i was been kind to the people who want an AI - is there any value in posting a survey asking if you would buy the game without an AI full stop. All the mechanics are coded, supply, chits, all the routines to make sure youre turns are been done correctly but no actual AI, just basic rule enforcement - would you buy this. Then those people that buy that will be contributing to the Hawaii Beat Cant Do This On My Own benevolent fund for Steve (tm) and he can buy some Hawaiian programmers to finish all the fancy AI stuff for those that want one

Nice concept, but it would eat a lot of any expected profits.

But, if "Band of Steve - Hawaii Terminator" is a hit for HBO in 2011 than anything is possible....[:D][:D][:D]

Welcome to the forum.[:)] If you have any questions, just ask.

Thanks! To all of you (or maybe just one of you the way it sounds) who are still working to make this game possible, thank you! My brother and I have played WIF on again/off again for roughly 60% of my life(and he has even longer), and we're both very excited for this to come out. We've had games that have literally lasted over a year since we can't meet for them very often, and I think we've only officially finished one full game but it's always worth it. So keep up the good fight, we can't wait to buy it!

Likely I will play a combination of PBEM and Netplay a lot. Great thing to be able to switch between them during one game!

I'll play the ai a little for learing purposes only. Too many years since I played the paper and cardboard version. Otherwise PBEM/Netplay.

80% AI
20% PBEM

But I see that changing when the PBEM issue is resolved. It will probably be much closer to 50/50 AI/ PBEM
