Bumping this old thread to make Admiral Dadman feel better.

Thanks for the bump, Dan. Any old thread where we get to read posts from DivePac, especially around his "Lazarus Affair" is quite a treat.

I think Des passed away not long after John III and I began our current game. I named the invasion of Sumatra "Operation Des Wallace" in his honor. DivePac was a good guy. And there are so many other old timers here. Let's hope gents like Chickenboy, Vettim, GreyJoy, Steamboatng, and many others return one of these days.

I've been meaning to update everyone on on GreyJoy. I sent a note to Nic as I hadn't heard from him since the summer. He got back to me pretty quickly actually and said he is really busy with work, and hasn't thought about much else lately. He's apparently working on a big public case in Vicenza. His words are better than mine ...

i am involved into the "scandal" of Banca Popolare di Vicenza...the 8th biggest bank of Italy...whose stocks went, in a single year, from 62,5 euros to 1 because of the bad habits of the CeOs who lended money to friends of to people who didn't have enough guarantees...and now the bank is more or less in bankrupcy...Consider that Vicenza has 110k inabitants...and 40k of them are stockholders of this bank!

So he's got a lot on right now it seems. He does mention he misses the forum and the daily turns and chats.

Gonna go hunting wild pigs with my son in a month, so I checked up on Chickenboy. He is alive & well.

Chickenboy is probably going to get fined by the Kangaroo Court for absenting himself so long.
