We must have different build programs - I haven't got any spare units, and certainly none I can give to French North Africa! [:)]

The French and CW choose a naval. I was hoping to get away with a combined with the French but, not thinking I was going to get the Initiative, I placed Richelieu in Marseilles to save her being overrun.
I am waiting on Field Marshal Orm's instructions on what he wants to do with his aircraft in response to a French submarine patrol in the Italian Coast.....

The Italians respond by flying out a Z.501 from Sicily and it finds the French subs.
The Italians use their 4 surprise points to increase the naval combat table. The result is that one sub is damaged and the other aborts.....

No declarations of war.
Germany take a combined while the other Axis go with land.
No Port Strikes. No naval air.
Germany send a U-boat squadron to the Central Atlantic and search for the Allied convoys but both sides fail their searches.
No strategic bombing.
Japan ground strike Mao with all they got available with isn't much. Italy attempt to ground strike the French MTN again. Germany send a escorted bomber to Paris and they are intercepted by two French fighter squadrons. Germany do not send up any interceptors so the French have the advantage in the ensuing air battle. Fun thing is that the combat odds are the same regardless of which French fighter is front fighter so Warspite1, cleverly, choose to put the worst fighter as front fighter.

The Italian ground strike was a failure while Japan manage to disorganize one unit.

Are the Japanese likely to try to reorganise their planes to take another crack at disorganising Mao?

Italian forces enter British Somaliland meanwhile they capture the minor port Bone in Algeria. Japan continue with their flanking movement in North China. Germany with only 6 land moves just order a few units to the front in order to attack the unit south of paris.
Germany decide to attack the hexes North and South of Paris.
Germany add no offensive bombardment but France, however, send up all their remaining air force in support of the north attack. Germany intercept them with the, reputedly, best fighter unit in the world.

I was clearly wrong. It might very well be the worst fighter unit ever! I am surprised that my fighters didn't manage to get shot down when they are that lousy. They couldn't hit even a drifting zeppelin...

The French bomber reduced the Northern attack with two odds shift while the Southern attack remain automatic. The attack in the North gets a break result with the defender shattered. Dumb as I am I convert it to a retreat.

Germany create Luftflotte Mediterranean and transfer three units to it at once. For the remaining two air moves Germany rebase 2 aircraft closer to Paris.

The British do a Land and the French a combined. The French navy escort the Senegalese Militia back to Toulon.
The British attempt to ground strike the German units northwest of Paris using obsolete Hampden and Battle aircraft.
The Luftwaffe fly a Bf-109 to intercept the bombers, no doubt assuming that the escorting bi-plane Gladiator can be brushed easily aside with a +2 modifier.

The Hampdens are quite good if turned over to Coastal Command. Bomber Command prefers the Whitleys. The Royal Army doesn't get too excited about medium bomber tactical support until the Lend-Lease models from the Americans show up overhead … or Fighter Command starts putting rockets and ground attack cannons on their planes.
