Sometimes, german army admit that russian tanks are better and uses them. Unfortunatly, production isn't reliable...

My T-70. It is the best light tank ever. (At least a 45mm gun).

They also stole 16 Panhard P204 from the french !!! The crimes of the german army have no limit.

And you can add 62 Czech LT vz. 38 (7 damaged inclued) in your count. A very good tank in the late 30'years, much better than a PzII with its Škoda A7 37,2 mm. A present from Daladier and Chamberlain to Germany. [:D]

Turn 62, 20th august 1942

First attempt to cross the Volga failed. I do a second attempt closer from Saratov and managed to cut the rail line.

And southern Stalingrad has Fallen!

Image

In the South, we do some progress in our attempt to cross the mountains. Italians Alpini are close from cutting Tuapse-Batumi rail line

Soviet strikes back!

Turn 63, 27 august 1942

Bad news! I was rather confident with my bridgehead over the Volga. But russian army is now able to counterattack with power and intensity.

One of these attacks invoved more than 2000 russian AFV!

Image

I have to engage 3 full Pzk to rescue the units trapped. On the other side, he cannot be strong everywhere and Stalingrad is taken.

Image

Russian AFV losses are impressive but it's not an issue for the red army

Image

In the South, I'm 20 miles short from cutting the rail line and I will be unable to achieve this goal. It means that all ports of the Black sea will remain under supply. I will have to clear some of them! (all if possible)

are you playing vc 290?

If so, you need to clear a few ports, clear the Crimea and then launch all out attack in 1943. Direction to be determined by future events.

Love the action!

We are playing bitter end.... so I cannot achieve a decisive victory before ... 1945. It will be a long long time.

At the moment I have taken all cities awarding VP except Baku and Sevastopol. Baku cannot be taken and Sevastopol doesn't give lots of points, but I will try to take it

You are SURE? It's not enough to have a 5: 1

Turn 64, 3rd september 1942

Obviously, Volga is the Nostepback line for the soviets. We are facing strong counterattacks.

Image

I decide to drive north to Saratov. I also try to extend the buffer in front of Stalingrad

Image

Offensive to Baku is resumed but russian line of defence is well established. The rail line won't be cut [:(]

Turn 65, 10th september 1942

Stelteck seems to be wanting to fight for Tuapse. I have a full german inf corps in this area. It should be enough.

I also reassign some mountain units to the eastern part of the Caucasus

Image

A closer view, russian defences are strong...

Image

Some advance in the Stalingrad area

Image

And I try to isolate Saratov.

I pledged to create as few infantry corps as possible in 1942 as it is twice the price of 1943. So i'am defending with mostly divisions yet.

Defeating and entering in Crimea will not be difficult,
but in my opinion, taking sebastopoli will not be easy without mountain troops.

You can create 1 corp every turn?

I have 60 PP per turn, in 1942, an infantry corps cost 20pp, a tank corps cost 20pp+XP reduction, a cavalry corps cost 5pp, a mechanized corps 20pp+XP reduction.

If we take into account the price of sub-elements :

Tank corps, mechanized corps and cavalry corps cost 35PP in 1942, but infantry corps cost minimum 45.
In 1943, infantry corps will cost 35 as other corps.

So in theory, to answer your question, in 1942 i could create 3 infantry, mechanized or tank corps per turn if i use existing divisions/brigades and do nothing else with my PP.
