Adjusted MG device in 7811 Chinese corps

Amended Wiraway Bomb Load
Removed Port from Reid River
Moved starting Location 1st motor Bde (aus) to Brisbane
Updated Dutch and Soviet Subs to match class files
Wright now arrives day 3 at PH
Moved Alchiba/Aries and Mauna Loa to later arrival dates

v3 moved the Jap Aircraft upgrades back to where they should have been

v4 updated for Kulls HQ changes and some Chian HQ's

v5 fixed boomerang bomb load and tried again with kulls changes

v6 Corrected a couple of issues with Chinese supply caps on bases, amended 24th Chinese Base Force, Corrected 2 ships from list above moved from PH to Anchorage, reverted Beaufighters and Mosquitos back to FB's undoing change above as on balance not an air guy so trusting original team more than my testing, added 5 new Gulf bases in Australia, removed Fairey Battle except as Invasion reinforcements also removed Oil and refinery from Truk as was an error with version control

v6 Amended some allied factories

v7 Added art link for Battle
Added Kurama to 5/46
Moved additional escort dates (minor change to 4 ships)
Changed Burma Milita Regt to Div (no increase to strength simply to allow it to be divided for local garrisons)
Updated AI for minor tweaks

To Alfreds point I cannot claim any more this is an update to an official scenario its merely my mod now and I am simply lazy so sticking to scen 2

You are no longer updating Scen 1 because of Alfred? That is disappointing to hear as you are the last dev doing any updates to a game that will never be updated or made again. Possible to at least update Scen 1 with these last changes? Help us Obi One you are our only last hope...

No you misunderstand I will still do updates but Alfred is 100% correct that I am now doing things that the other team leads may or may not have agreed with so I don’t feel I can call them official scenario updates eg I added a Japanese carrier to 5/46 which was a drawing board only ship it won’t have a material impact on game and it was never built as it never got off the drawing board but I cannot in good conscience say these are official scenarios any more

I am lazy so I will still use scen 1 and 2 numbers but I am putting a caveat up front that I cannot call them official any more

Scen 1 will get the same updates (where appropriate) that I added to Scen 2 probably tonight but for example I won’t be adding the 5/46 carrier to that scenario as that’s supposed to be pure

The only areas I am comfortable changing things in scen 1 is AI and Land

I added the new bases to help the AI so even though I don’t think Andrew is 100% comfortable with what I did given it’s mostly for AI I am happy to leave it

But I never go crazy on scen 1

I feel I have more flexibility on Scen2 as I was the primary author of that scenario

You could almost call it the very 1st mod of AE !!!

Final Update for a while

OK so everyone is aware I was getting uncomfortable that I was making amends to scen 1 with no other dev involved and probably didnt have the right to call it scen 1 anymore - I was going beyond what I should have done

SO

Post 1 of this thread now has a version of Scen 1 with my new bases eliminated and other changes that are not bug fixes removed but has the new AI file and all the bug fixes I processed - ie more or less back to the original vision of the original devs - I dont agree with it I think the new bases help the game but I dont have the right to call my vision scen 1 - any updates to this particular version of the scenario will be kept pure and will just be bug fixes

Post 2 has the Hakko Ichiu version and being blunt I was the main author of that scenario so I have left the new bases in for now - If folks really dont like it I will probably move that to another number as well but for now I dont want to maintain too many scens

Post 3 has scen 1 but with all my fixes including the new bases etc it overwrites quiet china but as I stopped maintaining that scenario in 2010 and the AI doesnt bother you much in China in either version I think thats reasonable.

Thanks for the update Andy!

Should the below be in the Scen 2 update notes instead of the two Scen 1 update notes? Was trying to find the differences in the scenarios and this was all I could find but it was in the two Scen 1 notes and not Scen 2:

Scen 2 only on top of existing Scen 2 increases - added about 30 additional ships to the IJN to make them a little stronger in mid war period 6/42 - 12/43 specifically 2 extra CA's and few tankers, Ak's, DD's and a couple of my surprise AMC's again feel free to delete they are at the end of the file - they give both the AI and an IJN player a couple of extra toys to play with when the Fletchers start rolling in but not enough to unbalance scen.

AndyMac, can't you just publish your scen001 with the bases as a scenario with a different number i.e. 011 or 021? I like the new bases, I like the supply caps in China. It sucks to have all those features shed from new versions of scen001.

Scen 1 is now bug fixes and new AI only - Post 1 of this thread
Scen 2 is bug fixes and new bases and new Ai - Post 2
Scen 7 is same as Scen 1 but with bug fixes and new bases and new Ai - Post 2

The only change was to Invasion reinforcements nothing that will impact on game unless NZ or Aus invaded

I can understand your change in course Andy, so no worries. Matter of fact I think it is the best solution going forward in keeping Scenario 1 "pure" as you said.
Looking forward to trying out your "new" Scenario 3 soon as I have my new Digital Storm PC with a AMD 5900X CPU showing up at my door in the next week.
It will give me a chance to reload WITP:AE and start all over again.

Thank you for your dedication to this community Andy... it is REALLY appreciated!
Keep the feedback loop going on Scenario 3 brother, I am itching to contribute where I can.
