My first high level bombing of Wuhuan netted zero results. A couple Nates came up to meet the bombers.

My Liberators over Kuala Lumpur met similar poor results...it should be noted that I did zero recon here however. SO I did not really expect anything major.

I did send B17s out of PM once again to harrass his troops fighting at Rabaul and they did a very good job.

He continues to throw a lot of bombs at Andaman Island...he surely must intend to invade it.

On a very happy note the rest of the 7th Aussie is now at Gili. I believe that PM is now secure from any possible invasion...at least for now.

West Coast

I ordered the 161st RCT to board trains in Seattle and march south to San Francisco. As I continue to gather transports and warships in SF they will be a part of a large convoy headed to pearl.

Midway

Midway remains solid.

Pearl Harbor

Spotted a sub just north of Pearl…sending ASW forces in the right direction, no doubt he will beat feet before I arrive.

Canton Island

Beginning the building up of the airfield and port has begun.

Alaska

Hornet continues to operate in this area…her oilers are refueling at Dutch Harbor, when they are done I will have decide whether or not to begin nuisance raids with her. J.

China

The first high level attacks against Wuhan were unsuccessful…lets see what today brings. He has begun attacking the troops southeast of Kweiyang. He has close to 100K of troops involved in the operation. Speaking of Kweiyang, I still cant get it supplied…the troops there are operating on less then 300. If xarg punches through I will likely order a general retreat here.

Burma

No real action here today and none planned for me. I continue to await the Xargun storm here..though I must admit I am beginning to doubt that it will ever come.

Malaya

Singapore holds on and my transports continue to rescue the MAF.

DEI

The 7th struck Kuala Lumpur today. I am moving them to Timor next where they can have a go at Kendari where he has tons of oil, ships, you name it….I will fly night missions here, as always their morale is already in the toilet….J.

Australia

Nothing new.

PM

The 19th did a great job over Rabaul and I am sending in again to day for another go at the Xargunites before I retire them back to Charter Towers. The 7th Aussie is ashore at Milne Bay (Gili) and unless he sends his flattops in there is not a lot he can do to them at this point.

Noumea

Still bringing in stragglers from the Xargun typhoon of 42.

PI

Just bits and pieces left.

Solomon Islands

Just waiting for my carriers to get back to Auckland so I can reinforce this with troops and aircraft. I am sweating this a bit.

Carrier Group One.

Lexington and Enterprise

Tthe carriers are retiring to Auckland with CG2.

Carrier Group Two

Saratoga and Yorktown

Retiring to Auckland with CG1

Carrier Group Three

Hornet

Southeast of Dutch Harbor

Force A

Hermes and Indomintable

Is headed south now, not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but it is time to get the Royal Navy in the fight.

I understand I press my bombers too hard. I think what bothers me is that I can move them to safe harbor and watch the morale go down at times. I had the 7th at Calcutta for a period of time until I realized that their morale was...dropping...small stuff like that. No worries though...got myself a couple of good bomber commanders in the cat bird seat and they both intend to do something about all the peaceniks :).

Hm... I haven't played 15 as the Allies yet so wasn't aware of their morale problems. When you R&R them, are they completely stood down with no training? And their morale still goes down? Perhaps the kitchens shouldn't have beachfront windows... [;)]

The 7th BG (LB30s) struck Kendari today...doesnt appear that I did much damage...but i will return tomorrow for another visit before i begin the long trek back to Sri Lanka with them.

My B17s out of PM hit his troops at Rabaul again...great work...killed a hundred...no doubt these bombs are slowing his progress down alot. That being said he responded with an 80 bomber attack trying to losen up my defenses here...

Intel is reporting the sinking of one of his subs...so maybe my ASW attack groups were doing something.

IT is time to abandon Kweiyang...I have yet to be able to get any type of supplies to the city...and my forces south of it lost a battle to him and are retreating into the city. I will make my next stand outside of Kunming..things do not look good here.

For two days he has been offloading troops at Rabaul as he continues to try and crack my defense here. So far two of his transports have struck mines that my submarine commanders thoughtfully placed here. :). And in even better news my 19th bG out of PM paid his transports a visit depositing at least two 500 lbers into the hulls of his shipping. He is paying a heavy price for this island. My boys here are now facing the 21st Infantry division. It maybe time to start evacuating...

I took Wallis Island back from him with commandos.

And still singapore holds on

West Coast

I continue the gathering of men, planes, and ships.

Midway

Midway remains solid.

Pearl Harbor

Well the combat report said he torpedoed a ship north of here…but I don’t see any sign of a damaged transport or a sub.

Canton Island

The building up of the airfield and port continues.

Alaska

Hornet continues to operate in this area…her oilers are refueling at Dutch Harbor, when they are done I will have decide whether or not to begin nuisance raids with her. J.

China

He now sits at the doorstep of Lanchow. I hope I can bloody him here, because he will take Kwieyang in the south without a fight.

Burma

No real action here today and none planned for me. I continue to await the Xargun storm here..No sign that he is doing much of anything other then the occasional air raid…very worrisome..

Malaya

Singapore holds on and my transports continue to rescue the MAF.

DEI

The 7th has gone home. Most ineffective bomber group in theatre.

Australia

Nothing new.

PM

I couldn’t be more pleased with the 19th BG (B17) Their new commander is kicking some serious ass. They smacked a couple transports yesterday and today they are going after his troops again.

Noumea

Still bringing in stragglers from the Xargun typhoon of 42.

PI

Just bits and pieces left.

Solomon Islands

It will be called Operation Ardagh. The first such major operation of the war. I will use four of my aircraft carriers and 30 other associated cruisers and destroyers to escort supply ships filled to the brim with planes, men and material out of Auckland. They will land at Lunga. I have decided that since he has not come to claim Lunga from me I will reinforce the NZ and Australian troops currently holding on by a toe hold there (and building a darn fine airfield) with major troops and supplies. The 111th US, 14th and 1st NZ as well as fighters and single engine bombers will be offloaded here. Lunga will be held. I am awaiting the arrival of my carriers in Auckland, once I sort them out I will launch this operation. It is my hope that he either ignores it, or comes full force, if he comes full force I will then launch a smaller operation to seize Baker Island back with the 102nd infantry out of Canton. This will be known as Operation Baade.

Carrier Group One.

Lexington and Enterprise

The carriers are retiring to Auckland with CG2.

Carrier Group Two

Saratoga and Yorktown

Retiring to Auckland with CG1

Carrier Group Three

Hornet

Southeast of Dutch Harbor

The attack on Lanchow has begun with a large Xargunite bombing mission. My boys of the 24th shot down no less then 6 Sallys and 2 Zeros.

My airpower out of PM continues to make Xargun pay for Rabaul putting a couple more bombs into transports offshore.

Loads of air action over Burma today. 605 Squadron (Hurricanes) did quite well today. Knocking down three zeros of a large fighter sweep over Akyab. He hammered Taung Gyi with a large bombing force. I dont have much there so it had little effect. I countered him later in the afternoon with the bombing of Rahaeng, netting a single zero for the 24th FG C (P40s).

My Hudsons continued their destruction over Rabaul putting three bombs into one of the two remaining undamaged merchant vessels there.

THere has been a sub harrassing shipping off Canton...no more...:).

He apparently suffered some damn heavy losses while landing at Cebu...gotta love that coastal defense.

West Coast

I continue the gathering of men, planes, and ships in San Francisco for the super-convoy. There is no major shipping leaving the west coast in the next week. I have another 10 to 12 ships coming down from Alaska. Once they arrive I will load up and move across the pond to Pearl. I hope I attract a lot of his subs…this convoy will be protected by no less then 10 destroyers.

Midway

Midway remains solid.

Pearl Harbor

Hunting a couple of subs off the coast. I have 2 more troop convoys coming in now. I lost another troop ship right off the coast bearing the Americal division. The 183rd FA continues to load for its trip to Canton Island.

Canton Island

I have a fighter (wildcat) and dive bomber squadron here now to go with the search planes. Makes me feel a lot more comfortable if his carriers decide to pay another visit. No more free lunches here for him My ASW forces put depth charges into a sub that has been harassing shipping but did not sink it. Today I hope. Currently I have the 183rd FA, and the 217th CD unit headed here. I intend to add the 810th aviation and either the 25th or Americal division in the coming days prior to my attack on Baker Island.

Alaska

I have decided to cautiously push Hornet west towards Marcus Island. See if he has any shipping in the area. I will have her oilers trailing her so I will not be hauling ass. If I run into any shipping I will stick and retire immediately. This is strictly for nuisance raiding, nothing more nothing less. I am also launching submarine commandos out of Dutch harbor against Marcus Island, I have had a submarine stationed off that island since the war began and I have never seen one ship pass him…so I wonder if he has any defenses there at all.

China

He has about 140K troops facing my 160K troops at Lanchow. I have 8 British and 1 Chinese bomber squadron there to make him feel my prescence. I will have to move them soon due to the amount of supplies they are sucking up. Hopefully my Chinese at Lanchow can give him quite the fight…I have been prepping for this for sometime now and have built the forts up to level 8.

Burma

A lot of air action here, hopefully more where that came from. Nothing moving on the ground that I can see…I still wonder what he is up to…I have had a thought that he is just going to hold the line here and try to move to India via China, strictly tying down my troops. His lack of action against Singapore would suggest this also. I have supply ships coming into Diamond Harbor today which will attract his bombers no doubt. I have two more coming into the area within the next week so there should be a lot of fighting in the air above them.

Malaya

Amazingly I still hold Singapore. He continues to lob artillery in day after day, but nothing more. I wonder what he is up to.

DEI

If I could give the Victoria Cross or the MOH out to foreign national fighting men T8 VIG VI Groep would receive them. They continue to fly into Singapore under fire and bring out support personnel. To date they have rescued over 1000 men. I know Xargun is capping Singapore because the transport group gets intercepted every day and every day they go back in.

I have ordered a submarine commando landing at the island of Namlea. Xargun has taken a number of places this way and is not defending them…so I will take them back.

Australia

I have changed the destination of the 6th Aussie Calvery to Noumea. They will not likely make it to the area fast enough to join Ardagh and transit to Lunga.

PM

Rabaul fell to him finally. So I am adjusting my bombers to saturate his airfields with craters. I no doubt will be seeing lots of Nells and bettys over PM soon.

Noumea

Have am loading up troop ships for Operation Ardagh. They will meet the carriers off Noumea and transit to Lunga.

PI

Just bits and pieces left.

Solomon Islands

Scary times as I wait for the invasion here. Hopefully I can get Operation Ardagh in area prior to any Xargunite landing.

Carrier Group One.

Lexington and Enterprise

Refueling and preparing for Operation Ardagh.

Carrier Group Two

Saratoga and Yorktown

Refueling and preparing for Operation Ardagh.

Carrier Group Three

Hornet

Underway to Marcus Island for Operation Doolittle (nuisannace raid)

Force A

Hermes and Indomintable

Is headed south now west of DEI.

6 days until Formidable

23 days until Long Beach

Operation Ardagh

89 ships are assembling off of Auckland for the trip to Lunga. They will be joined by 12 more off of Noumea for a total of 101 transports and warships. All to transport the US 111th and the New Zealand 14th as well as one US Army fighter group and 1 US Navy dive bomber group. If Xargun shows up here…it will be exciting.

It looks like you also have no serviceable aircraft in the squadron. Could this be a new group that has had all its planes delivered in crates, and needs to fill pilots from your pools?
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Another day another air raid over Rabaul…killing xargunites never has been so good. He has moved a zero squadron there to counter my raids….I will keep the pressure up till my crews beg for a day off.

The Dutch torpedo planes went after a small destroyer group northeast of Timor…scoring a hit on the Umikaze J.

That small destroyer raider group I sent to Baker, hit the island twice….no troops appear to be here….interesting.

I once again flew Australian troops to Lae to counter a submarine commando landing…once again I was successful.

West Coast

I continue the gathering of men, planes, and ships in San Francisco.

Midway

Midway remains solid.

Pearl Harbor

Loading troops.

Canton Island

The 25th and 810th are now bound for Canton via a fast transport group and regular troop transports..

Alaska

Nothing new.

China

He has moved a lot of fighters into the city south of Lanchow. I have split my forces and now will have half my bombers hit the airfields there and the other half continue to beat away at his troops.

Burma

I have three big supply convoys coming into Akyab, Diamond and Chandpur ….no doubt I will see his bombers…fighters are up and ready for them.

Malaya

Amazingly I still hold Singapore. He continues to lob artillery in day after day, but nothing more. I wonder what he is up to.

DEI

A few sub commando operations in the mix…nothing major.

Australia

Nothing new.

PM

He has zeros at Rabaul. As much fun as the 19th was having over Rabaul I had to send them home…morale is down to 42 and I have a lot of bombers hot up and in need of repair.

He apparently took Lae today and pushed the 20 or so troops back to Finschafen. I will be rescuing them.

I have ordered the 5th BG (B17s) to Charter Towers from Auckland. Tomorrow they will fly into PM and continue to hit his airfields at Rabaul. I will operate the 19th and 5th switching them as necessary. I want to make his stay at Rabaul…difficult.

Noumea

Chasing a sub in the harbor

PI

Just bits and pieces left.

Solomon Islands

Watching and waiting now that he has Rabaul I would expect to see bombers here.

Carrier Group One.

Lexington and Enterprise

Operation Ardagh.

He struck Akyab with a massive sally raid (close to 100 bombers) overnite, he must be tired of losing aircraft with daytime raids.

I started the morning pounding Kungchang with my British bomber force (escorting Warhawks claimed three nates in the air.

He also hit Singapore with a 120 plane raid.

Finally after weeks of virtual in action at Singapore 130 thousand Xargunites poured over the their trenches and attacked my lines. It cost him 1500 troops, however; nearly 3000 of mine perished in the defense. We will see if they come again.

I retook Funafuti island from him using submarine commandos.

The air war continues to rage over the Pacific as Xargunite and Allied air forces trade blows over Rangoon, Rabaul, Lanchow, Rahaeng and Singapore. Only over Singapore does he have the upper hand as I have no air power left in the region.

In Singapore he continues to pound away, he still cannot get the upper hand there (0 to 1 odds) but he is costing me a thousand troops a day…a rate I cant continue to handle.

West Coast

I have 2 more transport groups headed to SF. They are about 3 to 4 days out. Once they arrive I will assemble my planned super convoy.

Midway

Midway remains solid.

Pearl Harbor

I have three convoys of troops zig zagging from here to Canton now.

Canton Island

An anti-aircraft company has arrived to add to the defenses.

Alaska

Hornet continues to steam towards Marcus.

China

Lanchow is decently supplied, but I have moved Dakota transports into Chungking to aid with more supplies. Those British bombers suck up quite a bit. Lanchow stands at an 8 fortress (on its way to 9). With around 150 thousand troops. I expect him to hit me with around 300K. Should be a hell of a battle.

Burma

I am amazed that he has not gone after my resupply convoys. No matter they are all 3 more then half unloaded now. I don’t know what he is doing in Burma, but his inactivity has more then allowed me to build up Operation Raverdave to a point where I believe India is secure. I am considering offensive operations given the amount of troops I have in the area now. Maybe late April, early May.

The 7th BG (Liberators) Morale is now up over 50. I have replaced the leader again.

Malaya

He is pounding away at Singapore. Every day I hold it is another day my defenses grow in Burma.

DEI

Nothing new here. I shifted some Wirraways to Andaman.

Australia

Formed a new convoy with base troops for PM.

PM

I have landed some Coastal Artillery here…just in case ;). My heavy bombers the 5th BG (B17s) have enough morale to give me another day or so. I am in serious need of base personnel here. I will try to dig some up from the Australian mainland.

Noumea

A big tanker convoy full of fuel is about 2 days out.

PI

Just bits and pieces left.

Solomon Islands

The waiting game continues….the airfield here is just short of two now.

Carrier Group One.

Lexington and Enterprise

Operation Ardagh.

Carrier Group Two

Saratoga and Yorktown

Operation Ardagh.

Carrier Group Three

Hornet

Operation Doolittle. Hornet continues to steam towards Marcus. I will stop and refuel her in the next day or so.

Force A

Hermes and Indomintable

Is headed south now west of Java.

1 day until Formidable

18 days until Long Beach

62 days until Illustrious

Operation Ardagh

101 underway towards Lunga and steaming damn slowly there. Located just west of Noumea now. The US 111th and the New Zealand 14th as well as one US Army fighter group and 1 US Navy dive bomber group.

I notice they are "independent" in their attached to field. Perhaps assigning them to an HQ might fix things? I assume all units draw all replacements form their HQ's, so perhaps that's why they have no pilots. Just a guess.
