Bill attempted to bombard Sasebo but my navy reacted to his attemp and a large surface battle took place. 5 or 6 British battleships were sunk during the night combat. Only a few Japanese ships were sunk. The remaining UK fleet retreat back to Shanghai. Hopefully I can pursue and destroy them in the next day.

Im pleased of the recent engagement between the Japanese fleet with the UK fleet. I now know that I have reduced the fighting sea capiblities of the UK navy. This opens an easy sea invasion of China with little surface threats. Although I have sunk several main Britsih battleships, I know they are scores of destroyers still around Shanghai.

Sick them and go for the throat. Land right on shanghai  with units so they can't retreat then land on the 2 hexes behind shanghai with light forces to keep them from retreating
and then go for the guts. Screw inland china. You've dispatched his navy so go strong for shanghai.

Thank you for your advice, but Im going to be careful on this one, I have just spotted a number of US taskforces at Shanghai and I cant risk going in yet. I have no idea where the whole US fleet is and any engagement at the moment wont be good because Im not at full operation strengh.

Comments:- The first engagement, 12 Destroyers managed to damaged a number of my ships. Although I have sunk all the destroyers, Many of my BB and CL suffered from torpoedoe hits. I was also surprised that the UK destroyers managed to damaged my BB's with shells.

Gentlemen,
 
I have engaged a taskforce made up of 12 Destroyers, it was probably escorting the british battleship Iron Duke. Im glad they all gone and are permanent residence of the bottom of the sea [:D]
However a number of my ships suffered a number of torpodoe hits in the first wave of attacks. One battle ships is at 67% floatation damage and is limping back home. Hopefully i can get back to port
