Oscars die protecting some Nells, but it then allows a strike by the KB versus almost no LRCAP.

It is an ok strike...but a lot of the ships sunk are low value.

That should reduce the allies ability to move units by sea tho.

Maybe the Writing Award came with a prize and he is distracted with a new game.

I won this season's Matrix Basic Fantasy Football game and was pleasantly surprised to find I received that.
Not that I have much other game time than my PBEM game, but I picked Senguko Jendai, keeping the Japanese theme going.

Come on Lowpe, come back home.

Congratulations! I don't know how many of us would be playing this game without Matrix hosting the AARs and so many people running them.
I think a major part of WITP-AE's success is due to them. You sir, deserve Kudos from all as a major reason we can find opponents, Mods, Betas,
and great support.

Yep, have not cracked the rule book in years. Everything I learn is from these excellent AARs.

A long holiday break, followed by an Allied computer meltdown, has been resolved.[:)]

A mixed day with orders from long ago. Three allied ships sunk, 15 Allied fighters splashed but a sentai of Vals really takes it hard.

Only a few more days till the A6M3s and Nicks.

IJAAF bombers disrupt, and destroy, some armored here on the Soviet front saving the town for a day.

Not so much the plane models (A6M3 is a bit better than A6M2, but not all that much), but the NUMBERS. You just need production factories, bad.

The Isis is jumped by 3 IJN destroyers, two of which are good ships, and the Isis promptly turns the tables and sinks all three for only light damage in return. This happened over several engagements.

Allied air power still running rampant...Zeroes sweep Sabang and dogfight with P40's, but the Allies are focused on catching the damaged Mutsu...

Soviet Front...

Sallies pound some armor over western Manchuko, but for the first time some Migs show up there...and the Soviets will shortly bag another base.

I spent PP to move the 1st Division command up to allow the flying out of some of the best troopers there. Better that, than having to buy back a destroyed unit a month down the road (one that is in Tokyo and restricted to an Army command in Manchuko to boot).

Awaiting May 1st and the arrival of the Nick. Really beefy production here. I am also r&d the Randy (three factories) and plan on spending quite a bit of PP on converting the Light Bomber to Fighter Bomber usage. Of course, a lot of that expenditure will come in 1943.

The Nick will most likely be made for the rest of the game.

You can see I have turned production on, in my experience that switch is the Alpha switch and once one Nick is made, then the grace period for upgrading the Nick to the next model in the r&d chain is gone. These switch settings have certainly bedeviled many a JFB including yours truly.

True words. I could say it is all part of a nasty JFB plan, get the Allies to fight hard and overextend...
