032 Qian-Class sub

By the looks of it, the tail of sail has around 2 meters height of bump for one silo.

If JL-3 is true, the missile length will also become 2m longer to 15m, but the diameter is still the same as JL-2.

Video: ONR Demonstrates Multi-Shot Salvo with Electromagnetic Railgun
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) released a video showing a demonstration of the U.S. Navy's electromagnetic railgun initial rep-rate fires of multi-shot salvos at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. The revolutionary railgun relies on a massive electrical pulse, rather than gunpowder or other chemical propellants, to launch projectiles at distances over 100 nautical miles – and at speeds that exceed Mach 6.

After a day of NI article reported about Chinese UUV/USV experiments, SCMP also wrote what UUV could do in SCS, especially in Chinese perspective and its strategy behind it. And then another media NewsWeek wrote the specification of Chinese UUV:

The strange aurora from China was photographed and submitted to his blog by Netherland airliner pilot. His photos is surely debunked the UFO sightings in China. Most of them presumed it's an ABM test, rumored to be the HQ-19 said by Henri. However, in Dailymail, those foreign commenters agreed that China again contributed the world with 'thuggery' by stealing '20-year-old' technology, indicating it's still subpar to THAAD despite the unintended comparison.

It's still no way to tell what exactly the missile is, though. At least it gives some global attentions:

The HQ-19 sino-THAAD-ER seems to be about ready. The past few years were full of those tests.

Right in time when military allegiance of using nuclear weapons cannot be shaken, and must be ready whenever the leader want to use them. And that US commander gave China such of message had gone viral. He rephrased it was just for obeying the President, not a signal of nuclear war become imminent.

Whatever the true intention is, if Chinese ABM cannot be ready in time, then nobody else will think his allegiance is just blustering China, but a serious Cold War-level of nuclear deterrence.

Lockheed Martin Demonstrates LRASM Launch Capability from Topside Canister
Image
Lockheed Martin successfully conducted the first-ever launch of the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) surface-launch variant from a topside canister. The flight test, at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, proved the missile’s ability to conduct an angled launch from the newly designed topside canister, replicating a ship-launched environment. During the test, the LRASM, its Mk-114 booster and booster adapter ejected cleanly from the topside launcher using the same launch control and launch sequencer software currently employed by the Mk-41 Vertical Launch System (VLS).

Hambantota Port has been sold to China agreed by Sri Lanka government. It caught Indian strategists and anti-Chinese groups off guard because the delays and fear of Chinese military presence does not second-guessed the deal. It can be a good scenario backdrop especially with the 'String of Pearl' strategy:

Can't wait to see the launch and recover rates after the system is fully tested and placed on a war footing in a major exercise.

It works. When it works. The word was the MTBF is awful and the whole system needs to be offline while it's being fixed.
