The Norwegians had a great olympics. The Swedes had a very good olympics. The Dutch dominated on the track. Fins held their own in some quality events. Where the heck were the Danes? Seriously-did you guys get anything?

Is it just me or did the Germans underwhelm this year too?

Damn ... I just have to admit that Team Canada is a far better team.

Local paper chimes that US Hockey is "O-for Canada" this year. Ouch. 'Tis true. [:(][:-]

Hats off to the undisputed winners!
Yes, they were. The NHL coached perfectly. To get the silver is quite an accomplishment.
[ed] saw the King and Queen of Sweden was there. Good on them for following Sweden's athletes.

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Schanilec

Good morning all. -12F. again.

We here are in almost full blown spring... temperatures are 10-15 degrees centigrade... almost all meadows are full with flowers and we had just very short snow spell in January...

There's a finger of the polar vortex that has been sitting atop Minnesota and North Dakota for the last almost two months now. We're at -8F this morning. Cooling off into midweek: -13F for Thursday here. Ugh. [:(]

Good morning, after a brief attempt by Schanilec to dump more cold on the south, we are warming up to the high 50's by the weekend.
