ND43 i1 GS results
Missed the image of the air combat results (had issues with screen hidden by other screens). The allies rolled a 10, clearing the fighter bomber. The axis rolled a 15 aborting the CW fighter. No other units involved.
Ground strikes successful.
In Lisbon the Italians planes apparently concentrated on the airfields.
Stavropol half successful.
Vlad, I got both corp.

Three LA attacks: Benghazi, Stavropol and Vlad.
You can support Stavropol defenders. Information below. Manstein and Yamato are providing support to their respective attacks.

Note, tomorrow I am flying to the Midwest for the eclipse. I will have internet access, but probably less time over the next week plus.

You can support Stavropol defenders. Information below.
The Soviet bomber, Ye-2, will fly defensive ground supported escorted by the fighter (Pe-3bis). The Soviet fighter will target the German bombers and remain until all bombers are cleared, shot down or aborted.

Where we are, Huntsville/Madison AL area we'll be getting 97% eclipse. Just a little over an hour north in Nashville, it's 100%. My son's school is letting out at noon, however, they can miss the entire day without excuse.

No access to WiFi at the farm house, so no images from the computer (this is from cell phone). Both my bomber cleared and yours was aborted. Net roll at Stavropol was an 18 which caused a defensive loss and disorganized the attackers. At Vlad it was worse with a net 14. You should be happy. Will try to get to WiFi tomorrow.

3. What are your instructions?
Initiate combat. CP first priority, so engage 0-box only unless JP fighter is also involved. If fighter is involved with my NAV, then switch to Ark Royal as priority and only engage the higher box.

5. What are your instructions?
Initiate with the German Condor. Nobody new flies out. Sink the CP as the first priority. If I can engage the general fleet in a Naval Air and ensure getting the CP (enough surprise to reduce AA and increase columns), then engage the higher box as well as the 0-box. Else just engage the lower box.

Turn 21. Jan/Feb 1943. Allied #3. The Marianas. Round 1.

Well, this naval combat was an interesting one and resulted in me filing a bug report in the tech section.

1. The USN decides to attempt to initiate a naval combat in the Marianas.

2. The USA reacts with a NAV and fighter to the 2-box.

3. The CW reacts with a fighter to the 2-box.

4. The Japanese react with their Ki-27 fighter to the 0-box.

5. Search rolls, Allies 6, Japanese 3. Only the Japanese find but even when they isolated the lower (2-box) they fall short of the 4 SP's required to avoid combat. So the allies choose a naval air combat.

This is where the bug occurs (see tech forum for specific details).

Turn 21. Jan/Feb 1943. Allied #3. The Marianas. Round 1. (con't)

After a bit of trail and error I found this workaround to the bug, which was a showstopper.

1. The Japanese include both allied boxes (2 & 3).

2. The allies, however, fly all USN CVP's in the 3-box as fighters. Since there are no Japanese air units involved then this effectively eliminates them from this round.

3. The selection of the 3-box reduces surprise points available to the Japanese from 3 to 2, but since the Japanese could only use 2 anyway this is irrelevant.

4. So through trail and error we have our "weird" workaround and then proceed to the naval air battle.
