So how did it go with your 1000 posts?

There was no BPB inducement - you said I was waiting for you to see the error of your ways - ergo and theretofore - I deduced that you were saying C was correct i.e. I had simply spelt Question incorrectly.

As to your latest answer. How could you of all people not know that??

From the fourth part of Ambroses' 1997 Trilogy: How to make Brazilian Peanut Brittle:

"The most common way to make Peanut Brittle is to stick the Peanut and Brittle composite into a Flangebracket. However, this machine requires a Fletion, a vital part that makes the wheels on the Flangebracket go around. As the Fletion is made from Peanut Brittle, a lack of forward planning in the summer of 1939 meant that so much Peanut Brittle was sold, that there was insufficient Peanut Brittle available to make the Fletions; which in turn meant the Flangebracket was unworkable; which of course meant that they couldn't make the Peanut Brittle. This incident led to the great Peanut Brittle shortage of 1939, and many people believe that this was the catalyst for the outbreak of World War II".

So the answer is not B.

I know what you're thinking. "Did I have two guesses or only one? Do I have another £50 to blow on trying Answer A - or could the answer still be C" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as I am holding in my hand a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Now now, don't be getting all angry just because you forgot the Fletion / Flangebracket / Peanut Brittle shortage thingy [:-]. I am sitting here with £4,000 from people who have guessed so far - want to take one more guess Steiner?

Nope - the answer is none of the above - I was just trying to get money from people under false pretences i.e. there would be no money to pay out as a prize, because no one would get the right answer....

I am a simple man Steiner, a family man, a football fan (whoops almost broke into an ABBA song there); I have simple goals in life, but you? you are the main man - you are such a visionary, you possess such drive, ambition and determination. Tell me o great one, how will you reach 40,002 posts from your present 40,000?

I think its time to call a truce to the whole American Football / Association Football debate. End of the day, the British version is best, it is the world game and your "big girl" version sucks.

There now, we have found sensible, common ground, with which to end the debate to the satisfaction of all parties.
