The Axis either need to get it done in Spain & Gibraltar (and get back into it in Egypt) or launch some kind of successful Sealion (not necessarily ending in conquest as long as it cripples CW production for some time) or get paved over after spinning its wheels through 1941.

I very well know that.
But I think I did not build enough land units to correctly prosecute my plans.

For all the US' tension problems, it can cause problems for Japan by saving up and passing option 36 (CW reinforces Pacific). This allows the CW to reinforce Rabaul (if it has the land units), and ratchets up tension.

Alternately, since the US tension problem is vs. Germany, it should pass the Resources & Lend-Lease to USSR options. Those are high tension.

Yes, this is coming. I passed pretty good actions this turn (repair CW ships for exemple) ; but rolling 10 doesn't help!

While the Italian subs fail to find ships in the Gulf of Guinea, they are hunted down by a French cruiser

And are foced to get back to La Spezia for repairs.

The defense of Britain now seems ensured.

Gibraltar is not protected well enough, but with the marines gone, the threat level is low.

In France, Germany is almost ready for the invasion of Spain.

And yougoslavia is unlikely to hold for long.

In North China, the situation is deadlocked.

And the moonsoon will likely prevent any serious operation in the South.

In order to reach Spain, Germany cllapses Vichy.
The USA are looking at their shoes.

The best French ship escapes.

On Vichy collapse, I note that some territories are German (Martinique, Reunion...) ; I believe they should not. Only metropolitan France should. Am I mistaken ?

No. That's a known bug.

The next axis impulse is not significant, as eastern units advance to the Greek border and the western units advance to the Spanish border.

In China, the rain still prevent any significant action in the south, as most useful Japanese units are out of supply.

The next allied is even less significant, except when the Hampden bomber successfully attacks Bardia. This puts a lone garrison out of supply. This could be a good opportunity to get rid of it, although Bardia is a little far for British supply.
