CW returns one TRS to Tunis along with the one MIL and was escorted by one battleship and one cruiser.
This insult to the Italian pride can't be left unchallenged! Port Strike coming up!

But maybe I should have sent them to Tunis instead. [:)]

Germany trade 2 resources and 1 oil to Italy. CW trade 1 resource and 1 oil to China. USA trade 1 resource to China as well.
Initiative was in the Axis +2 box but the Allies won the initiative roll. Axis demanded reroll but the Allies still won the initiative and they decide to move first. Allies feel like they won the lottery when they got a double impulse.
Weather is fine where it matters.

RE: A World on Fire
Nice to see all the pilots coming in for Germany this turn. I take it there's a stack of planes arriving next turn?

RE: A World on Fire
There is a couple of aircraft that arrives the next turn. See the attached picture. But I would have liked to have a better fighter included. Only reason that I didn't scrap the He 112 was because of the range. But seeing that it was picked instead of one of the newly added fighters made me realize that this was the wrong call.ORIGINAL: composer99

With that said is that Germany actually used up all the pilots that arrived this turn. Germany had some aircraft in the reserve pool already and among them a 5 strength Stuka and a 5 strength fighter.

USSR declares war on Persia and the best US entry marker was removed.
Persia aligns to Germany. This after a heated discussion among the Axis partners. Japan had originally planed to align Persia if the Soviet Union declared war. There was a plan that Japan would send forces to occupy the Persian oil wells and protect them from Soviet aggression. And if needed Japan was to go to war with USSR in order to keep control of the Persian oil. But Japan has lost more forces in China than expected so this plan was scrapped when the war was a reality.

RE: A World on Fire
Out of curiosity, is there a Soviet CP in the Caspian Sea? When you are playing with limited overseas supply, having one there makes the invasion of Persia much easier. Since I don't see any Soviet HQs, I assume that you do.
I thought I knew how to play this game....
RE: A World on Fire
Yes. I have a CP there. Just as I posted that picture I realized that it was a bad one since it didn't show the CP.

CW select a combined impulse and France take a land.
No Port Strikes. No naval air.
CW send two bombers escorted by a fighter to ground strike two hexes in the NW part of the front. Germany send up a fighter to intercept one of the ground strikes. But the German air force performs ridiculously bad in this game.

Just a overview picture of France before moving any land units.
Edit: Note that CW has a HQ (Gort) and two land units on transporters in the North Sea. But they have only three land moves available.

RE: A World on Fire
USSR rail the engineer division to Leningrad.
The Nationalist forces withdraw into the mountains. The Soviet union moves 4 units toward Teheran. France withdraw slightly in order to get a stronger defensive line. France has few reserves available but most of them do the important task to guard against breakthroughs. Wavell move out of Lyons but remain in the centre of the defence against the Italian aggression. This could be dangerous since there is no air support available for Wavell and there is a increased risk that there might be supply trouble in the middle of France.
USA debark a garrison onto Midway. CW debark Gort (HQI) and the 11th Motorized Corps into Rouen.
No land combats.
CW rebase a fighter to France.

No declarations of war.
Japan forces closure of Burma Road.
No Port Strikes. No naval air.
Japan send out two TRS and one AMPH and embark units on them with destination China.
Japanese naval bombers continue to lay waste to the Chinese military industry. [X(]

RE: A World on Fire
The green rings should be Germany's main objectives. The orange square is interesting if the odds are sufficient. On the south front is only up advance along the blue arrow possible. After throwing in larg froces has the Allies finaly made a solid line. Now its up to the Axis dice, they can break or make it. A second offensive chit is another option.

I will act upon it as soon as we are through sulking over the disappointments we have had lately.

RE: A World on Fire
Japan make two ground strikes in South China. Germany send four bombers and one escorting fighter on ground strike missions. Italy assist Germany by sending one additional bomber for their ground strikes. CW, France and China send up intercepting fighters and Axis counter intercepts for multiple air combats.
The first air combat ends with one bomber cleared and one bomber lost.
