Competitive:
1. The CW player decides to grind it out in the Med against the Italian navy.
2. Any equal to slightly less than equal exchange of RN ships and planes for Italian ships and planes is considered acceptable.
3. Basically, the CW player decides on a strategy of attrition to wear down and eventually neutralize the Italian navy.
4. The Italian player who clear sees the intention of the CW player decides that he will only fight for the Italian Coast and then really only to protect the flow of resources through that sea area. Also, he has an incentive to discourage CW amphibious operations against Italy proper and Sardinia for as long as he can.
5. The Italian player has decided not to spend any more BPs for the production, or even repair, of surface ships. For now on his contribution to defending the Italian Coast and Italy will be in the form of subs and air in addition to ground.
6. Overall I'd say the CW player was happy with the naval attrition this turn in the Med.
7. The Italian player on the other hand was not happy with the losses he took but on the brighter side was happy that he continued to get 2 RPs through the Italian Coast to his factories.
8. However, he's no fool and knows that this isn't going to last. The Med and, soon the Italian coast, will be an allied lake.
