To which bases will the US forces go if they abort? And will any ships ail together? Beware that there are some sea areas where Japan might be able to intercept.

US will abandon the sz - this battle wasn't one they were seeking, it was only by misfortune of an extra impulse that they were forced to fight.

I'm not quite clear on what the options are, but the NAV will return whence if that hex will have oil, BB, cp can go to Brisbane if they won't be intercepted going there - else I guess I need to know what options there are for them that won't be intercepted. Somewhere that will get oil. And TRS is destined to go toward the U.S. - so whatever port will have oil and head that way. Pearl Harbor is also fine to send the TRS if it can reach (as long as there is oil).

- The TRS can reach the US West Coast. To what port?
- The BB can be intercepted if it sail for Brisbane. Ports, for example, bordering on the New Zealand coast are safe. And so is Pearl Harbour.
- The NAV2 flew from Palmerston and it has access to oil.
- And the CP has pretty much the same options as the BB, but with shorter range.
