Hi all,
ORIGINAL: JWE

You guys will probably laugh at it, but it is a work machine after all.

HP 6000 Pro, 3 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB SDRAM, 500GB WD hard drive, 2 16x DVDs, Bluetooth/802.11G

Typical number cruncher kinda machine.[;)]

What is wrong with that machine?

BTW, at home I still have Core 2 Duo as well (2 GB RAM, 2x 400 GB HDDs, nVidia 640 MB GeForce 8800 GTS)... machine is now 4.5 years old and will upgrade soon (SandyBridge most probably)...

Afraid not. As usual in the military, when we go away on these kind of trips, the programme is smack full of briefs, visits, courtesy calls etc, giving little time for sightseeing.

As it should be, considering we're using up the taxpayers money.

ETA: Will probably go for a private visit to London quite soon though. Had forgotten what a nice town it is. Last time I was there was 31 years ago, when I went over to see Pink Floyds The Wall at Earls Court. [;)]

Yes, you might try, but it didn't do much good to Arthur, or Alfred, or Harold, now did it ?

Over on our side of the pond, University of Alabama paid Kent State about 2.7 million Kentucky Fried Chicken coupons so they would consent to lay down on the Red Tide's' opening day. I think that's a record, but I'm not sure, 'cause I don't know how what the transfer rate is for 7.6 million Krystal gut-bombers.

Next door neighbor has some cool stuff going. Doing the game at his house. He's got some awesome fried veggies, and some wicked cool shrimp. I made some Jambalaya. Maybe 20 people smiling and dialing. One thing he made was fried pickles. Never had that before. But a nice Kosher dill sliced up and battered and fried. Was impressed.

Fun. Ciao. John

I wonder if they're as bad as the White Castle greasy sliders?

You're sure that there's no Scots hiding nearby? Nature and mankind haven't yet made anything they won't batter and fry...
