He's in one of our favorite movies, "Thomas Crown Affair." Rene Russo doesn't hurt that film, either. [;)]

1) Connery
2) Moore
3) Brosnan
4) Other

Pierce Brosnan would have been a good fit had he been able to accept the role when it was initially offered. The biggest problem with the Bond series is that its gadgets and chauvinistic coolness no longer appeal to current audiences the way it did in the 60's and early 70's.

2) Tim Dalton
3) Daniel Craig (although not that far above Moore)
4) Roger Moore
5) George Lazenby

1) Timothy Dalton
2) Daniel Craig
3) Sean Connery
4) George Lazenby
5) Roger Moore

And I won't even dignify the 1st Casino Royal with Woody Allen, ETC![:D]

Actually that was one of the best spy spoof movies ever made along with the Flint movies[:)]

Now they are complaining about losses to flak over in the main forum. Why can't they just enjoy the game?[8|]

Good flick. Scattershooting while wondering whatever happened to Rene Russo.

Moore is so much more English than Connery. Connery and Brosnan are both better actors than Moore, but they smack of the Celtic too much. But maybe that's my Celtic blood talking. Bond is supposed to be English and I just can't get my head around a Scot or an Irishman being English...despite great efforts on their part to do so.

Sorry, but you might want to re-read your Ian Flemming. Bond is a scot. [:)]

Hah! Learn something everyday. I've only read From Russia with Love and recall no mention of Bond's nationality. Assumed he was English because MI5 is English.

Yeah but Scotland,England,Northern Ireland and Wales form the United Kingdom. And MI5 is British, not English. The government is the UK, not the individual countries.

Um...not really. It's English and the rest are subjects. Ask any Celtic type... [;)]

The UK is an English notion of English hegemony. Period. Why do you think the Scots got their own Parliament recently? Why do you think the Irish have spent long years trying to get out from under the UK yoke?

It's English. Period. Definito.

Lots. But the truth remains: the UK is an English creation on English terms of English goals. You can't argue against it. It's simply historical fact.

Actually I can. But I won't. Let's just agree to disagree. I have a headache. [:(]

No, you can't. History is on my side. Every nation who is a member of the UK was CONQUERED by the English....except England.

It is English. It is English-oriented, English-built and English maintained.

My Scottish friends would be most upset to hear you say that. In 1707 , when the act of union was passed, it was English men who objected, not Scots. (They thought they'd have to prop up the poorer Scotish side). England and Scotland were co-ruled by the same king when King James the 6th of Scotland became King James the 1st of England, appointed by Elizabeth to be her successor. No conquest involved. [:)] If you think history is on your side, you need to re-read your history![:D] She takes no sides, only prisoners![:D]

Alligators and Florida crocidiles are a lot less aggressive than African or Australian crocs.........[:D]

Which means Leo might get away simply being maimed as opposed to devoured whole. [:D]

If you'll notice, they are heading into the water , away from the photographer. Bruce is absolutely right! The only gators you really have to worry about are injured or crippled ones that can't hunt. They tend to hang around docks and places that cattle use to water. That's why every Florida community has a pond with a fountain with ducks in it. (They need the pond because the water table is too high to keep fire hydrants working right---the fountain is to prevent mosquitos from breeding). The ducks are a "gator early waring system". (Every night you count the ducks, when some go missing, you call the wildlife people!)![:D]

Cool! Thanks for the info dude! If I ever go to FL, I'm make sure to stay away from any ponds w/o ducks in it. [:D]
