Yes, a tactical mistake on the Western Allies (i.e., my) part. I wasn't paying attention ... lesson learned ... pay attention to the units being ground struck and if they include a fighter use that fighter to intercept!ORIGINAL: brian brian
I think if a Ground Strike is coming in against a face-up / organized FTR, that FTR should probably be the one to intercept Ground Strike, all things being equal, which was the case in terms of the W.Allies desperate need for tactical factors on aircraft right now, as the intercepting Spitfire had the same factors as the P-51s now disorganized on their bases. Other times, an aircraft being Ground Struck might have a good reason to gamble on riding out the enemy Strike.
