I got to start page 932. A first for me.

I've never started page 932 either.

Especially since 932 has a cosmic significance.
After all, 9=3**2.

Obviously a code indicating that something important is about to happen.
Come back tomorrow and I can tell you what it was predicting.[:D][:D]

Uh oh!!! I just started page 933.

Since 9=3*3 I think this is going to be a very strange day.

Can't think of any special significance to 934, but nothing good can come from you leading three pages in row. Hopefully, it won't lead to Magnolia like stuff happening.

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: AW1Steve

I remember that one! I had a young rabble rouser who worked for me who insisted that he dominate was supposed to be training (this was in the USN) about conspiracy theories and despite every attempt to get the training back on subject, he'd go right back to them. When he mentioned this particular attempt at world domination , I casually mentioned that I was affiliated with one of these groups, (go ahead and guess, but I'm not a alien, space or other, and theirs nothing noble or royal about me) and I hadn't gotten the memo. The ensuing laughter shut him down (for that day anyhow). And damned if he didn't report me to NCIS for "conspiring against the government and the constitution![:D]

Did special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs came to see you? [:D]

Naw this was before his time. Some guy named "Vinnie" came to see me , then the "alledged douchebag" who reported him. They already had a file on him . Something about "subversive activity". [:D]

I figure TV's NCIS is a far cry from the real NCIS. I figure the real NCIS is a lot of mundane police work.

Don't get me started on NCIS Los Angeles. That show is so far from reality it makes my head spin........[:D]

When I was working for Aeling Corp, back in the 70s, people were making all these gnarly spy movies. Every time a new one came out, people would start showing up for work with those Groucho Marx disguise noses, trenchcoats, aviator sunglasses, and paste code names on their office doors. Got a real nasty inter office memo from the department head when we were playing who shot JFK. He was Italian and got a bit torqued ... oh, no … you don’t think … no, no, couldn’t be …

NCIS is about as accurate as JAG was. As Bellasairo said when defending himself against a group of Real Navy JAG's , "I don't do documentaries. I entertain people". He himself is a former Marine. He knows better , but like all of us, he likes the money. And he generally portrays the military and his other subjects quite fondly. [:)]

My experinces with NIS (or later NCIS)? If it didn't involve a stooge with a wiretap, or they couldn't "coerce" a confession, they didn't like to play. And as I always told any sailors who worked for me , as sailors "NCIS is not our friends". [8|][X(][:)]

I've never figured out why NCIS would be in LA. Are there ANY Naval units there outside of Reservists or ROTC? [&:]

Why don't we create a "conspiracy theory" thread? We can put them all in one place? And the participants can high jack from each other. It would also be much easier to avoid.

Lo Baron provided this link on the PH conspiracy thread

http://www.conspiracycafe.net/forum/

Now we can all get current with what is really happening out there in the world.

That's exactly how the intel community worked back in the 70s, Bruce. Ordinary people working 9 to 5 at mundane and routine tasks. It was a lot like a bunch of geeks reverse engineering a competitor's "hot" new product and trying to figure out how to keep a step ahead. Weeks of mind numbing number crunching and analysis, days of dictation, typing and editing, all to generate a report that gets reviewed and classified (not really read) and stuck in a file somewhere where it's forgotten (if it isn't $hitcanned). If the Hollywood pukes ever visited a real community job sit they would have died from ennui.

In world war II it could be even more boring. A few years back my mother described her daily routine working in Army Intelligence - Economic Branch - China during 1944-1945. Everyday it was read through a stack of unfiltered intelligence reports out of China looking for anything that mentioned Japanese merchant ships in Chinese ports and type those into her own report and then pass the pile on to the next person who would be looking for info and compiling reports on something else. Human search engines.

kind of like CSI. I had a friend who worked 9/11 (processing bodies) and he was always being asked to compare the forensics work to CSI. His reply was always the same. "Take away the pretty faces, snazzy outfits....and oh yeah, all the neon and then your close"
