The I-123 dropped off mines in Pago Pago and caught the AO Cuyama there and put a torpedo into her. [:D]  Also, the I-25 was on patrol about 400 miles NE of Pago Pago and found the DD Worden.  Three torpedo hits later, the Worden went down with all hands.

We lost a PC and AP.  In addition, 5 APs and 2 AKs were damaged.

We took Reef Island and landed troops at Irau.

Quiet day today.  A Helen put a 250 kg bomb into the KXII.

That's really all that happened of note.  Rangoon's AV is 1258 to the Allied AV of 626.  Noumea's AV is 1015 to the Allied AV of 300.

I'm waiting for the 14 Army HQ to land at Noumea.  The TF arrives tomorrow and will begin dropping off the unit.  After that, I'll do another attack.  We'll see what happens.

The 2 CVs that were detached from KB are in the vicinity of Iwo Jima enroute to Tokyo for upkeep.  Their damage levels are around 13 or so.  They have with them 2 BBs (one from KB and one from SE Fleet) and and escort of 2 DDs from KB.  The ships from KB all had the highest sys damage and the other BB ate a torpedo and wasn't repairing at Truk.

So much for Noumea, it's just a matter of time until it falls into the clutches of the evil empire.[;)]
Thanks for the updates Mike!
I'd say you three are doing pretty good so far.[:)]
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Not bad, but I think we're taking more ship losses than I'd like. I'm not concerned with the merchant ship losses (yet) but I managed to lose us 4 good DDs in the Aleutians as well as some other combat ships lost around the map. We get the Yamato in a few days, which will give us another 185 naval ship points to play with. It sounds like Faber probably wants another CV accelerated as well as a couple of DDs. I'm about to check that to see what's available. I'll post some screen shots to let you guys see what's going on around the map too.

Here's Noumea. Not much to show really. The Allies in Noumea are cut off from resupply and KB with 4 CVs is still prowling about. The TF 3 hexes north of Noumea contains the 14 Army HQ. That should help out the Japanese forces at Noumea.

Here's Australia. Darwin is isolated from the sea but there is a powerful air contingent there. Bruce has bombarded with a naval squadron once or twice. He'll continue to do that and gather a force for a invasion. Not sure whether is will be by land or sea.

Here's Burma and the surrounding area. Bob has 23 units there and Bruce's forces are shown. The highlighted units are heading to Moulmein. They should have the strength to take it when they arrive. I think Rangoon's days are numbered. The past couple of attacks by Bruce have been rather successful in reducing the fort levels from 5 to 3. Bruce is resting a couple of days and will then continue the attacks. Once he gets Bob's forces on the run, he should be able to take most of all of Burma.

Here's the mess in China. Just west of Hangchow is the Great Yellow Horde of 22 units including over 500 guns. I think it's short of supply because Bob is pulling it back to the west. Unfortunately, I don't have enough forces to the west/sw to cut it off. Shanghai is safe though.

Further north in Sinyang, Bob outnumbers me 2:1 in AV but my forts there have made it safe from his incursion there. I'm not sure why he keeps his forces there because I bombard it daily and cause 4-500 casualties a day.

My long-term goals in China are to clear out the SE corner of China and then ultimately clear the rail line that goes from Canton through Changsha to Hankow.

Here's the Aleutians. Speedy sent more forces here than we thought he would send. The TF headed toward Attu is the 35 Bde. If given the opportunity, I'll use this to spearhead an attack to take back Adak, although I believe it's too strongly held. I'd love to send some carriers up here to clean out Allied shipping that wanders around here seemingly at will. I keep getting subs damaged an am down to only one at the moment. To the west of Attu is a small TF of 1 CA, 2 Cls and a DD, ready to smack an invasion TF, should Speedy get frisky. [:D]

Reinforcements:  MLE at Osaka (headed to Kwajalein along with some MLs), AP and AV Akitsushima at Tokyo

Fun turn today.  Bad news first.  The Rover sank an AK carrying part of the 10 Mtn Art Reg in the Malacca Straits. [:@]  Also, an AP sank from old damage.

Nells raided the port of Darwin and put 2 torps into an AK.  We didn't see her go down.

We landed troops at Cebu and Ndeni and took Irau.  The fun part was at Rangoon.  Bruce sent 2 bombardment TFs there (total of 4 BBs and 3 CAs doing the dirty work).  They caused a total of 11,170 casualties, 118 guns and 21 vehicles. [X(] He followed that up with a deliberate assault.  While he didn't quite make 1:1 odds, he caused another 1978 casualties and 21 guns for 1342 Japanese casualties and 7 guns, along with 1 tank.  I'm sure that bombardment did a number on Bob's support elements.  Hopefully, that will seriously degrade the Allied ability to repair damaged squads.  The down side was that Rangoon's fort level has increased back to 4. [8|]

The Kaga, Zuikaku, 2 BBs and 2 DDs are one day's sail out of Tokyo.
