TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)

RE: TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)
Really stormy weather in our game. But for the main front that doesn't matter much because of the disorganized forces.
I do, however, have some questions for, or ideas, for the upcoming impulse.
1) The German, disorganized, ATR can be reorganized by the Italian HQ if Italy does a air impulse. But then they can't continue their offensives in secondary areas. And the ATR can not be rebased until next impulse and we might not even get a next impulse. So therefore I wonder how important it is that we try to get it in position for the first impulse the next turn or if it is enough for second Axis impulse.
2) Should we port strike Marseilles now that it has both fighter and CV cover?
3) Or should we send out our naval air assets to the West Med?
4) Or save it since using up the remaining Italian fighter opens up La Spezia for yet another port strike. Maybe better to save the fighter for protection and the naval air against raids into the Italian COasst.
5) Now with winter storms raging, is it time for German naval actions? Unfortunately there are no capital ships in Kiel so the surface ships doesn't reach the Atlantic. But maybe they should rebase to Kiel. And maybe one of the submarines should raid the North Atlantic. The convoy there lacks proper protection.
6) And maybe Italy should send a naval force and raid the East Med.
7) And, lastly, if we do the Port Strike then maybe Italy should do an air impulse anyway to reorganize some air assets. But at the same time capturing Corsica before they reinforce it seems important. And it would be fun for Italy to capture Sudan.
Do you have any thoughts about this? Or any other ideas or suggestions?
Japan plan to send over their militia to China as well. Because the war isn't going well.

RE: TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)
I think an Italian raid in the East Med makes sense with a port attack on the French. That way there is no concern about using the Italian fighter.
We need to rebase the German fleet to Kiel and put the subs to sea - North Atlantic and Faroes Gap
rebasing to Kiel doesn't use oil is that right?

It uses oil since it is a naval move through the Baltic Sea.rebasing to Kiel doesn't use oil is that right?

I am not sure I follow this. The fleet base will not be empty just because of a raid to the East Med.I think an Italian raid in the East Med makes sense with a port attack on the French. That way there is no concern about using the Italian fighter.

I don't mind doing it as I will do a naval - will be back on line around 7-ish, may be before.
The the previous comment - I guess it depends how many ships your were sending to the East Med. I think whatever you decide you need to play safety first with the Italians.

Forgotten to mention the JU-52s of TG1. If the Italians think they could make good use of it then keep it in Italy.

At some point in J/F that unit has to go back to Germany, so that it can drop the paratrooper M/A. You probably won't actually want to drop it anywhere, but if you can drop it, the Allies have to respect the threat.ORIGINAL: warspite1

So long as I don't have to throw the dice to do it. If so I will probably end up destroying the fighter in the process [:D]

RE: TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)
The German PARA is best used on the impulse of DOW against either or both of Holland and Belgium, imo. After that it is less useful. It can be good to drop right on an enemy front where one is hoping for a Breakthrough into the hexes beyond as it gives a +1 on the combat and helps hold the breakthrough hex, freeing up another unit to exploit.
But it has a good use as a threat against the UK itself, along with the AMPH being in Kiel. I also like to threaten Sevastopol with it ... or Malta.
I would rather use the Axis air at sea to grind down the CW CV planes and begin to take over the Med. The Allied force on Sardinia will now be backed strongly by the Royal Navy.

Wow - that was disappointing. When I sailed from port to port no disorganised dot came up. Turns out they are all disorganised anyway [&:]

I suspect that was because they are allowed to continue moving after entering the second port if they have move and range for it. And most German ships do.ORIGINAL: warspite1
