be careful some engines get addicted to that stuff and then that HAVE to have it to get going. Kind of like coffee
I'm more worried about the rusted out carb, a result of the long-term ethanol mandates in our gasoline up here (curse you, winter blend [:@]). It's murder on older engines.

Try adding StaBil to your gas. It goes along way to dealing with the problem , as well as letting you keep gas long term.

Yeah, I know. Coulda woulda shoulda. I routinely drain the tanks from the winter machinery for the two months a year that I'm not using them, but I should have been more aggressive in the gasoline additives.
Good thing about Texas gasoline. It's the real deal. None of this corn-pone sissy ethanol mandate down there.

You had best tell them. Remember Minnesota nice.ORIGINAL: Chickenboy
Funny enough, the buyers wrote it into the contract. They're moving from a loft apartment in Minneapolis out to the 'burbs. They'll need a bunch of stuff to set up a 'real' household. They had the common sense to ask for the snow blower.
Of course, that old b**** of a snow blower is cantankerous as hell and 13 years old. I'm ready to shoot it myself and get a new one. But personal property is always sold in an 'as is' condition. I just need to decide if I'm going to warn them ahead of time.[;)]
You ain't no Texan yet Hoss.[:D]
Where in the Cities do you live anyway? I know a lot of NoDaks down there. What you get for having a Dakota County.[:'(]
Yeah, I was going to tell them, I'm just funnin' y'all. [:)]
We're having them over this weekend to show them around the property and review some of the features of the home. Them thar city folk need them a reality check.
I'll also show them how to prime the snow blower, set it to choke, fruitlessly yank on the starter handle, cuss like a sailor and kick the thing in the carburetor until it finally sputters to life.
ETA: North of St. Paul, just north of White Bear Lake, south of Forest Lake where my in-laws have a condo on the lake.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Anytime I buy gas for the mower/chain saw/generator/trash pump , I add some. That way I don't have to remember to. Then I add it twice a year some more. All gas attracts water. Why you should never buy gas from a station that doesn't have a high turn over. Or from one that has a tanker truck unloading when you want to fuel. Come back later, or go somewhere else.ORIGINAL: Chickenboy

When do the playoffs / frozen four bracket get fixed, Schani? I'm looking forward to one last go ' round in college hockey before I swear off anything having to do with ice* for a while.
*ETA: Except in my bourbon.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Mostly likely after this weekend's conference championship games. The Regionals. Four regions 16 teams. Always interesting, one never knows where any team is headed.
You-won't-last. A few 100 degree days will change that in a flash.[:'(]

Woke up with a bad headache and congestion this morning. 1 day left until Spring gets here and I thought I had safely made it through this Winter without getting sick. [:(]
Maybe it will be very brief and clear up by this afternoon. [:)]

Andy, my wife is feeling it, too. There have been some very ugly varieties of illness going around this year and I've dodged most of them. This one doesn't feel too bad like that, at least not yet.
It's more this:
