I am indeed - but once net play is fixed I hope to play others - and they are not going to be forgiving of such schoolboy errors. I am therefore learning the hard way. Such a stupid thing to do makes me look stupid - and really cheeses me off, but I suspect I won't now do it again.

Re the Jags. I know nothing of the sport but I chose the Jags because of the ROAR video - very nice. The owner has recently bought Fulham Football Club too.

The fact that they are the worst team is irrelevant. I did not know that when choosing them, but once you have chosen a team, you nail your colours to the mast and you can't change. I have no respect for people in this country that change their football (soccer) teams - its just plain wrong on every level.

So now, for better or worse, I support the Jacksonville Jaguars [:)]

In the 3rd Impulse the Germans spring a surprise on the French - yes they actually remember to move...

The plan is to try and finish off Billotte and then head for Paris, while in northern China, the Japanese have backed up in order to rid themselves of the pesky partisan unit, before resuming their advance.

The Chinese partisan is destroyed, although takes a division with it.

In France, the Germans have the choice of table. They choose Blitzkrieg and achieve both destruction of the French forces and a breakthrough.

A gap has now appeared between the French in Alsace-Lorraine and those around Paris. Can the French close this? Should they try an attack on the 1st Infantry Corps northwest of Paris? We shall see...

The French resort to blocking tactics to keep Paris unattacked for a long as possible. With no means to disorganise the German units, it would probably just hasten the end to attack the Germans now....

Impulse 5. The Italian declaration of war is hampered by rain... Mussolini still waits.
The Germans cross the now partially undefended Maginot Line and target the hex east of Paris. Barring disruption, this should give them a crack at Paris next turn.

....but its another lousy throw for the Germans!

They lose two units to the French one and all remaining units are disorganised...

Impulse No.7 and the CW continue to shuffle naval assets around, while the French continue the pull back from the Maginot Line and attempt to block the route to Paris.

At last - a break in the weather and the Italians are in!!

An element of the Italian Fleet (2 x BB, 2 x CA and 2 x CL) sail to protect the convoy counter in the Italian Coast. The two Littorios remain in La Spezia to cover the Royal Navy.

The Germans try to strike at the same hex as before, disorganising two units, while the Italians announce their arrival in the war with a BA65 ground attack against French units in Nice. Two units, were successfully hit.

Both the Luftwaffe and the Regia Aeronautica bring bombers to the battles.

The Battle for Nice looks extremely iffy, but as Il Duce said, he only needs a few thousand dead at the peace conference [8|]

The French choose the Assault table and.....


..... its a disaster for Italian arms. Three of the four attacking units are wiped out for the loss of one French cavalry division...

...The Germans finally get some good dice and destroy both defending units for no loss.

I would demand that we reloaded the game if my opponent forgot to make his land moves with Germany during such active part of the war.

I beg to differ. You are allowed to change your colours after you have selected a team but for me it has to be because of other reasons than how they perform on the pitch. This is especially true when it is a team in a sport that is new to you. One can not said to have made a informed selection by looking at a couple of cheerleaders. You can select the team because of that but if you later encounter things you dislike about that team then you are free to move on. There is, of course, a time factor to this. The longer you supported a team then the reason to switch team must be stronger.

I now want to mention Wimbledon Football Club. It was a shame how the team was handled by their owner and I understand any and all supporters who changed their allegiance from the team. I admire the ones who changed their allegiance to AFC Wimbledon but in my book it is ok for the supporters who moved on.
