There was a shock attack at Kuching that wasn't supposed to happen. I had them set to defend and the only thing that
changed in the hex was the arrival of a fragment of a paratrooper unit that was flown in from Miri. I'm guessing that's
what triggered the shock attack. I'm going to have to turn off the transfer of the paratrooper unit.

There was a battle somewhere in China where I captured a P'eng Yao and I've bumped up the supplies needed to 4K+ so it
will start to get some supply from somewhere or other. I didn't know I was fighting for this base. I'll take it.

There was some pushing and shoving at San Fernando on the PI and the Japs ended up capturing the place.

I captured a place called Wu Hu on the river in China. It's the stepping off place for a push going north and
west.

Another of my midget subs was found and killed at Pearl. I think there's another one left there. So far so good.

I tracked down AVD Ballard and put 2 of 6 TT's into her. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it sank.

Here's a list of the best pilots in the reserve and I see where I'm getting low on fighter pilots. I've drawn
most of the reserve fighter pilots into the sweeping squadrons. And I notice too that I'm running low on
transport pilots. I'll have to look into that.

There's a situation developing near the Celebes. I've got my carriers out near Tarakan flying CAP over two
troop transports heading for Manado and Ternate. But on the other hand I see where Brian is trying to get one
of his CVE's into my shipping lanes from Truk to points south. So I have to decide whether or not to break up
the carriers so I can provide CAP to the troop transports AND chase the Allied CVE. I think I have not got much
choice. Both are important. I gotta do it.

Most of the traffic going to Malaya is passing CRB now and should arrive on the east coast of Malaya in a couple
of days. Troops are leaving CRB at this time for Patani and I forgot to turn off the supplies and the TF loaded
almost everything that CRB had. They are down to their last 400+ supplies now. D'oh. I'll have to arrange some
emergency runs of supplies.

Here's the status of the invasion TF's. Some of them are still loading. Some of them have already arrived at their
destination and should be disgourging their troops. The second wave has arrived at the east coast of Malaya and
the third wave is leaving ports at Samah and CRB and Pescadores. There's more TF's heading to the PI but none
are headed to the north coast of Borneo. An oversight on my part. I need to give some thought to taking down
Singkawang. But first the Allied air forces at Singapore must be dominated. It's all interconnected right now.

Brian seems to be concentrating his subs near Nagasaki and Kagoshima. I've got a lot of SC's and AMc's at
Yokohoma that I can move to Kagoshima's area. I'd really like to dedicate some PB's to the sub threat. Maybe
if I plant some mines in that area for his subs to run into he'd get the hint.

EDIT: The Russians are active but I don't see any Russian subs yet.

Here's the China theater. I'm thinking of moving along the river that runs through Hong Kong to the north and
isolate the center part of China and clear it out of enemy units and develop the economy in that area to put out
lots of goodies. Also, I need to clear off the enemy units from the rails in that area to get the supply flowing.

Any thrust like this that messes up lines of orderly retreat for the Chinese Army will help your cause. Getting a salient in with an airbase near the tip will also give you short range air strikes, easier on your pilots & planes. Getting all the way to Chungking (or bases near there) is best but will take a while.

I think so too. The goal is to get some isolation of Central China and then
clear it out of enemy units so that the LI and HI and so on can operate
without any enemy interference.

I like this idea. I'll see if I can't make it happen.

Here's what's going on in the Celebes Sea. That Allied CVE that I thought was headed for Hollandia is now probably
headed for Darwin and has taken the south exit on the west side of Sorong. So he's not headed for the Truk Sea after
all. I think he's headed south for Darwin because that's where the LBA is.

I received some moves from Brian not long ago and I watched the combat replay and now I'm using Combat Reporter to
review the battles. This is a sweep over Manila that didn't go all that well but all things considered I'll take
it. The pilots I sent for are arriving soon and maybe the tables will be turned.

There was a night strike on the port at Singapore that aledgedly got a bomb hit on both the Prince of Wales and
the Repulse. I'm thinking that it might be fog of war and that they didn't hit a thing. I'll send 'em an email.

There was a strike on Cebu's port and the report said that the Japs damaged a lot of the smaller Allied ships and
actually sank one of them. A second trip is in order.
