Trying to get a new PBEM going but I don't seem to get tracker back in working order.

In my old install tracker loads fine, but refuses to load the new turn 1, saying " A later turn has been loaded already" . Any easy fix for this?

Also tried a fresh install, but got the following:

HELP!
Apart from deleting your trackerdb*. files... I believe that you're using the beta and must move the pswdll.dll from the beta2 folder into the tracker folder.

I'm now successfully running Tracker in Windowed mode in Parallels on my Mac. However when i try to extend the size of the window it simply gives me space and the contents do not extend. Is there any setting that might allow me to specify a larger window?

Is anybody using tracker with last beta(q9d)? Beta is working with the dll from previous version, but tracker requires a new one.

q9b is the last beta, there is a "C" version which is under review. I use q9b in both testing and PBEM and am having no issues having copied the right dll into the tracker folder... so I'm unsure of your issue.

Which panel are you looking at? Some handle resize events properly and some don't...
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

bk19@mweb.co.za and floydg:

thank you both. I now know how to get my old install working (bk19@mweb.co.za) and thanks to floydg I also know how to get my new tracker install working under the beta :)

Resources, Aircraft seem not to want to resize at all - not a huge problem for me. task Forces seems to generate a load of extra java in the batch window and gets a bit jumbled, but a few clicks within the window and it sorts itself out.

WITP is the only reason I have Windows on my machines!

And you can't use the existing dll in the beta2 folder for it?

Michael only changes the dll for savefile format changes. So each exe doesn't need a new dll.

Just ran a turn using Q9d and loaded it into Tracker no probs .. just use the pswdll.dll from the beta2 folder into the Tracker folder. If you're upgrading from another version like 1106i etc then you'll need to reinitialise the DB by deleting all the trackerDB*. files.

Good Luck

Any clue about this error?

Post by paulk205 »

I am using the latest Java release on Windows XP. Simple Scenario 1, no mods. I get the same error both in stock and in latest beta.

Thanks

E:\Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\tracker>java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -ja
r "WitPTracker.jar"
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
at witptracker.Engines.GetEngines(Engines.java:75)
at witptracker.InMemoryDB.LoadStartupTables(InMemoryDB.java:154)
at witptracker.Main.main(Main.java:157)

E:\Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\tracker>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Using the beta patch ? Then copy the pswdll.dll from the beta2 folder and put it in the Tracker folder ... delete the db and start again.
