Are you allowed to still refer to it as the Southern Resource Area? [:D]

Lowpe,

Just a lurker, but your AAR is a wonderful read. I really like that you chose to stick with it.

Thanks,

Waiting on the turn...I have to say I am curious to see what lands at Patani. Of course that is speculation, as both Cam Ranh Bay and Saigon really lack troops and he could as easily go there. The KB and BB SAG will hang around Borneo - refueling and rearming and supporting another attack on Allied incursions on the northern coast of Borneo which my infantry is having trouble cleaning up.

The Imperial Guards Division will arrive in 10 days or so from Burma (sending them there was a colossal mistake) and I finally managed to buy out some Honshu restricted troops, I can't afford to buy out the Honshu restricted artillery as it costs too much and my need for soldiers with rifles is so great.

Glad you are enjoying it -- Japan is in for a world of hurt. [;)]

I had hoped to field the Jack in early fall, but r&d seems to have hit a serious road block lately. In a few days the Oscar IIa arrives and will be quite welcome.

In stock not much of an upgrade, a little more range, a little more speed (still slow though).

If you don't take it even in consideration....

Someone pointed out that other allied very valuable locations, such as in Australia, may be undefended completely now.

This reminds me of a quote "No matter how bad things are, you can still make them worse."

You want me to take my unrestricted troops, which can't even establish a perimeter, and go across the map to fight his restricted troops?[&:]

The point is: does he have troops there at all??

Of course, the Aussies have a ton of restricted troops.

And what would it accomplish? I bet Obvert would supply me the shipping to attack Australia.[:D]

A ton??

Have you checked - or thought or planned somehow how to recon, PM, Suva, Etc?

Are you referring to the naval garrison defending Australia??

I don't know what Obvert has kept there, have not checked. ceirtanly, not CVs, and not many fighters as well..

What would accomplish: Alfred suggested the destruction of Aussie's industry; I'd be happy to disrupt and possibly sink much of his ongoing naval supply train as well.

Lowpe knows what he's doing and what he's talking about. He doesn't have the time or the assets to do anything meaningful in Oz. He has to keep KB and most of this combat ships between the Allies and places like Luzon and Formosa, hoping for opportunities to strike. Attacking Oz at this point would be folly.

+1

He up to his ar__ in alligators, he doesn't need to go looking for more. Even if OZ was completely empty, what would it accomplish? Eric would cede OZ in a heartbeat as Lowpe would give up Formosa maybe Shanghai too.
But I don't think OZ is empty. I haven't seen that many OZ units in action besides the ones already local at game start. Further, replacement pools are so low and slow, allied players rarely prioritise buying and Eric would know this.

There is a game you can play here to speed up repairs by switching between pierside and shipyard modes to speed up repairs.

I would imagine that the BBs are coming for you Size 5 runways.
Weather sucks so often than without carrier support, not too much to worry about air-wise.

Have you any mines around Bering Island?
If so, I would pull the bombers back to P-jima and hope a Naval strike would catch a mine-wounded BB retreating from the bombardment.
