Hi

A few questions/queries.

1) I have been trying to export a CSV of a filtered LCU production screen however the "Use filter..." tick box does not seem to work as my exported CSV does not contain the same data as whats displayed on screen. E.g. no 'Planning for' field amongst others. EDIT - i think i may have been doing it wrong - apologies

2) Is it possible to copy and paste chunks of data from tracker?

3) Slightly off topic as its related to the info in your economic primer document - i think the bits below in bold is tracker specific.
With PDU 'on' and Realistic R&D 'off' how exactly do Factory Upgrades for Airframes work?  Does the factory ALWAYS upgrade to the airframe type shown in tracker (i'm just looking at the turn 1 data) regardless of what you may have changed the factory production too, in this circumstance is the tracker factory upgrade info just not relevent?  I have read the info in your economic primer document but can't get my head around how the process works.  Please could your document include a little more detail on this?

4) I am thinking about trying to pull off LCU info filtered by Army to help me get my head around what units i have and what they should plan for.  Would it be helpful for tracker to have the TF info in a column of its own rather than included in the 'Location' column to aid sorting data?

5) As a final thought, and after reading your economic primer any news on 1.9 yet :D

Many thanks

LCU Production screen is different to LCU screen. LCU Production does not have Planning for ...[edit] So you've got to select LCU not LCU Production for the CSV generation...
2) Is it possible to copy and paste chunks of data from tracker?
Some you can by selecting the fields and then using Cntl + c (copy) and Cntl+v (paste). The LCU area's cannot.
Sure I can flesh it out more...PDU is for airgroups, R&D is about aircraft upgrades NOT groups(mostly). The factory does always upgrade to the one shown in Tracker NO exceptions (unless you manually change it - which means loosing all the repaired factories).
OK - I'll write more if I can get more of a handle on what you don't get... PM me if you like.

[edit] Having read your message again - Do you mean that what ever you do to a factory it will upgrade to the factory designated in Scen design? No - it is not that intelligent. What I mean is that the factory will upgrade to the next production factory (if there is one and 'keep' is OFF) from the present factory.

So if I change it from the M2 ( which would upgrade to the Sen Baku) to the D3A2 the factory would eventually upgrade to the Myojo.

R&D is different; you can change the factory at any time but unless you work along the upgrade path you'll lose your repaired factories (must be fully repaired). These factories don't auto-upgrade but using realistic R&D will become production factories which can upgrade, unless you change them to a future R&D aircraft.
4) I am thinking about trying to pull off LCU info filtered by Army to help me get my head around what units i have and what they should plan for.  Would it be helpful for tracker to have the TF info in a column of its own rather than included in the 'Location' column to aid sorting data?
Probably - but we probably won't do it. Remember you can also extract csv info for first turn data by using witploadae in the SCEN folder.
5) As a final thought, and after reading your economic primer any news on 1.9 yet :D
Many thanks

1)& 2) Thanks

3) Again thanks. Am so new to the Japanese side that at the moment i don't even know what i don't know. I assume that if Factories upgrade to a model you want in the future you just don't change them unless absolutely necessary. I need to look into this more and am going to restart and work my way through it again. I will let you know if i have any questions or suggestions for your document.

4) Never seen 'witploadae' mentioned before, thanks. However it won't run for me, the 'command prompt' box just flashs on and off very quickly. However i did get all the info i need (i think) from Tracker.

5) Good answer - am looking forward to its release in due course.

Cheers

I'm writing it up as we speak; maybe you'd like to download it in about 30 mins and let me know ... (you could now as I save the doc every 5 mins - but not finished - just finished PDU explanation and added an Upgrade chart)

Yeah, witploadAE is mostly for scenario designers, but also good for turn 1. Actually I think Tracker has everything from those files anyway.

I'll do a video on using witpload sometime.

Hi

I have a suggestion for tracker.

Its one of those things that i think i want but have no practical experience as to whether it would actually be useful or not [:D]

Anyway, it relates to the engine planner.  This looks forward one month at a time for a year.  Would it be useful to have some extra columns on the end for whole years e.g. Balance of remaining year (1942)/1943/1944/1945/1946?

I can't find it in tracker, however it might be there...

Battleboard Function
Takes the data from the cbt reports where units are listed when in combat, takes the date and the hex from the report, and lists in a table all those enemy units that have been attacked, and their last contact/location.

It would be nice to have the ability for a "notes" field where the player can add a comment in.

Cheers

We don't have that (yet), you'd better check out combat reporter ... not sure it does it either.

A notes field for what? LCU's?

Too hard basket as a balance for remaining year. I could expand to 18 months though. Anything further out than that is a bit of a waste IMHO.

[edit]But I think Floyd has had enough of my code changes for this iteration[8D] Which reminds me ...

The note field could be for anything, such as "trashed" "Full strength" etc

Is there a reason for the KI-45 KAIa Nick und the KI-45 KAIb Nick to be listed under the Mitsubishi Ha-31 engine in the engine/aircraft planner, when they use the Nakajima Ha-35 engine?

They're there so you can see they upgrade to the KA1C which does use the Ha-31 Engine. This was done for clarity sake.

Thanks, that is for friendly forces, which is handy, similar for enemy requested to help battle track them.

Working on it. But haven't had much time to polish things off...
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Avail in 1.9 or you can export the class ships and do a calculation manually... I gave the formula in my setup doc ...

Has anyone had any problems with Tracker since updating to the newest beta? I have been using it for the last several days (at least single-turn, hadn't been able to figure out multi-turn very well, but still only playing the opening of Guadalcanal scenario), but since I updated to the Beta on Saturday, I can't get it to load up a turn. I deleted the folder and did a re-install, but keep getting this error. Any ideas? (BTW this save is from a turn about 9 turns into the scenario, after issuing orders but before hitting execute. I have tried it with an opening save, and an autosave, similar errors. Thanks!

Delete the DB. Copy the pwsdll.dll from the beta2 folder into Tracker and reinit.

Should work fine...
