Turn 43

Eastern Front:

I messed up on some of the details here, not that it may make a difference to some, so I ask for forgiveness if details do not match up from before or after this turn. The one thing that never changes is the actual SS.[;)] CP's southern flank has done a good job skewing the Russian morale with 2 turns left in winter. The northern flank is keeping up the pressure too without any ground gain. You see where that Russian 1 garrison retreated leaving an open position, I generally do not accept taking a position like that in winter conditions for it usually lowers my units to a morale of 8 and exposed on 4 sides and within range of enemy artillery, that's like a recipe for disaster waiting for ya/you.[:-]

Turn 44

Western Front:

Can't call it the Belgium post anymore where CP does not occupy any Belgian territory.[&:] Demolished 2 French units: an infantry with general got killed off northwest of Stuttgart and a French garrison that took advantage of a breakthrough got buried this turn, also before this turn started lost an infantry with General Hindenburg's HQ.[:(] Germany's PP IIRC is around 20 or so atm and looking to sell off more of it's labs to feed the Beast. Right now I do not see a really huge Entente army, I see a huge air-force, can see 3 artilleries, a lot of garrisons and 7 infanty all of which is going to have to fit into a line going from the southeastern Netherland's border to the most northern tip of the Switzerland border. This might work in CP's favor, the only thing is? Germany needs dug in infantry here to hold it.[8|] AH is giving the Germans a huge helping hand holding the left flank.[:)]

Turn 44

Central Mediterranean:

Moved an AH blimp corp up by Florence to hit deeper into France cities, also spotted a French unit in Nice. After scouting Ataccio, Corsica decided it's time to send an AH troop transport there for possible amphibious capture.[:'(] Feel as though there are plenty of healthy AH sub fleets around here to make a successful mission providing the French dreadnaught does not interfere. Have no idea where remaining French sub fleets are, will assume at least 1 is watching the main AH fleet near Taranto. Once the AH transport leaves port the Germans will be ready to embark for other opportunities from Naples. Marseille and Toulon are bombed out a loss of 7 PP to the French. I feel if CP keeps up it's own bombing runs on France it will have telling effects on France's offensive, especially If CP captures Corsica's 3 PP. You might have noticed in the previous SS that the German zeppelin is hitting Orleans.

Turn 44

Eastern Front:

The confusion from last turn was: By mistake had detailed and edited this turn first by mistake and noticed some things did not match with turn 42, so I tried to make them match, then realized my mistake later on that I had turn 44 instead of 43 that I was editing.

Killed a Russian infantry on the southern flank, then occupied it's position. Kept pressure on the northern flank and got a good hit on the Russian artillery. The Russians have produced enough units to have a solid front from north to south. "That's a lot of PP..!![X(] Detached General McKesson from Koenigsberg, he's going to the Western Front.

1 German garrison for the Western Front

Winter is over notification

Take a look at what CP's PP is.... They are just barely surviving...[8|]

Turn 45

Western Front:

You might notice that 2 hexes to the southwest of Dortmund there is 9 French infantry, well this is where I had a German 10 infantry (it's gone, vanished).[X(] And might notice the next hex south of the German cav salient there was a German 10 AC, Gee, that's gone too, and the next hex south of where the AC was there was the remainder of a German garrison, that's gone too. The German commander is seeing his units getting vaporized faster than the ones coming from the queue. Can remember Admiral Beatty being quoted "There seems to be something wrong with our ships today!" The fact is; Germany can not last long with these kinds of losses.. And Oh yes! Did I fail to mention that a German fighter squadron just to the north of Dortmund seems to have disappeared also? This is all very bad news for CP..!! The good news is the deployment of "1" new garrison here and the upgrading of the fighters to Synchronization Gear improving German fighters to class III killing machines. Can't wait to see the Entente air-force start dropping like flies.. German artillery gave French artillery a wake-up barrage. 2 more AH units are making their way to the second line of this front. I do not know for sure if all German fighters got the upgrade, if they didn't they will be upgraded next turn. CP high command is considering what plan B and C will be for this front in the coming turns.

Turn 45

Central Mediterranean:

The AH transport is in position to disembark next turn, while a German transport is getting loaded for a possible landing in North Africa. Spotted and attacked an English convoy.. Sending the German raider to Corsica, being sure to protect it from the French navy. The bombing of French cities continues from Italy..

Turn 45

Baltic:

The way I look at the ground situation here is: The Russians are spending 12 points in upkeep trying to recapture cities vs the 6 points CP uses in upkeep to defend them, not including navy points for the navy would have existed anyways, so the net result is a -6 PP to Russia, plus they lose the potential 9 PP that those cities could have produced. I'm considering this a win for CP. How much this weighs on Russian NM? I do not know? Zep bombed Vitebsk and Vaasa. The white circle at the top could be CP's next target or where the next merchant fleet spawns. I'd like to get a 4th sub fleet up there to box out the spawning zone and gain another avenue/angle of attack on enemy sub fleets should they be there. Kaiserliche Marine Conducted anti sub searches in the Finland Sea..

Turn 45

Eastern Front:

Grouped together CP fighters and upgraded to class III. Lost the AH fighter at Przemysl possibly by Russian blimps or bombers. The southern flank made a slight territory gain and attacked. The northern flank is getting ready for an assault on the Russian salient with general and made other minor attacks, also gaining some ground.

Turn 46

Western Front:

Lost another German infantry right where that front line French 7 garrison is. CP's reply was to take out a French garrison that was a little west of Stuttgart. Then the French took out an AH garrison at the most northern tip of Switzerland. Can anybody not see how this battle is going?[&:][:)] Mrdozer must be licking his chops to get at Berlin, one breakthrough of this line, he'll be well on his way there.[:(]

Turn 46

Central Mediterranean:

I'm willing to bet that the French had intended to place the Corsica infantry somewhere near the front instead of being at half supply on a 3 PP island with a unit that uses 4 PP for upkeep.[:'(] Likely Corsica will only produce 1-2 PP after the German raider's bombardment. The AH transport sailed off to attempt a landing somewhere else, perhaps Algiers? Sailed the German transport to the northwest of Tunis for a possible landing there (white circles and arrows). You'll notice AH did not attack the English merchant fleets, for 2 reasons: One, CP has already sank approximately 310 points worth of merchant supplies, the lua scripts read that if CP sinks 400 points worth of convoys the USA will go on the "March to war", however for some reason in another MP match that happened much earlier than 400, so I do not want to take a chance of that repeating.[:-] Two, If you look at Malta you'll notice the garrison is at full supply. The only way that can happen is if a surface war fleet is adjacent to it (Likely the French dreadnaught is in Malta port).! Knowing what success the dreadnaught had sinking the AH transport at Tobruk, he might try it again at Tunis..??[:(] If he tries it again this time, I want to be ready for him..[:@] If AH attacks the supply fleet, the French will know where my fleets are and may not decide to attack the CP transport. I'm sure mrdozer can hear (during replay) all kinds of sub fleet movement, but does not know where? You might know where what is, however the French (mrdozer) does not know, for it could be movement in the Baltic - Eastern Mediterranean - anywhere.? Just like I do not know where much of his sub fleets are? OK, Do you get the picture? I'm setting a trap...!![8D]

Turn 46

Baltic:

Sometimes I ruin my own plans/strategy. For whatever reason returned one of the subs from up north (a mistake).[&:] The Kasierliche Marine purposely leaves gaps in the Finland Sea hoping to ensnare enemy submarines, sure enough during an anti sub search detected one small English class II sub fleet and was able to destroy it (small victory) and at the same time bombard a Russian garrison. On a bombing run to Petrograd found another Russian infantry.

Turn 46

Eastern Front:

Had a couple of minor victories; one, killed off a Russian general (Brulsiov sp ?) and infantry and advanced. Two, German garrison caused a Russian infantry to retreat, Three, Sent southern flank Russian infantry into retreat. Four, did significant damage to a Russian garrison to the center of this line. There have been some slight line changes here to bolster the northern flank. At least CP has something to cheer themselves up with, when compared to the carnage at the Western Front..[;)] Noticed Russian artillery moved north to Vilna.[8D]

Turn 47

Western Front:

Germany lost 2 more garrisons and pounded French artillery with German artillery, plus strafed English artillery. Counter- attacked a French garrison, all attacks resulted in minor losses to the enemy. Shifted AH fighters a little north and railed an AH infantry to Nuremberg. CP front line is looking a bit shaky right now, holding on as best I can with what's there. Until I did this AAR did I realize how much of a beating the Germans were taking at this front losing many major units time after time. It the heat of the action as a player I'm more concerned with the big picture than down into the trenches where an AAR recreation really takes thought and clearly sheds light on the casualties and kills.[;)]

Turn 47

Central Mediterranean:

The French dreadnaught fell for the trap..!! Yahoooo![:D] The French did not see the undetected AH sub fleet until it was too late, forcing the French to stop in Tunis port, but he was not safe there, the German transport had not yet disembarked, before he did, I made sure to leave an opening for the French to have to retreat to once the Germans captured Tunis (thus the port). Then did a six sided no escape attack on the now diminished morale dreadnaught. If a fleet is forced to retreat from a port it loses 2 or 3 morale points (in the yellow). Making it very vulnerable to attack. Now I am fairly sure the French sub fleets were spotting the main AH navy sending a signal that the coast is clear for the French dreadnaught to attack and I do not blame him for doing so.. Now the AH main fleet can roam at will with no known Entente surface fleets in the Mediterranean..[:)] With Tunis captured France has 2 less PP to play with, the other shoe about to drop is that the AH transport is now poised to capture Algiers the French capital of North Africa...!!![8D] Meanwhile Corsica and 3 other French cities are getting bombed, this has to be taking an effect on the Entente strategy and robbing it's Western Front offensive of fuel..

Baltic:

Some light action here with bombardments and preemptive sub to sub fleet strikes now that a merchant convoy has spawned. Sending another fleet north in the event it can get on the backside of the convoy to help protect it.. Lost Turku, a minor loss, what The German garrison gained is another enemy unit that is a drag on the Russian economy..[:)]

Turn 47

Eastern Front:

Moved and upgraded AH artillery with specialized shells (increases bombing level +2). There has been a Russian blimp down at Odessa that has been hitting AH cities causing PP losses, so now a German zeppelin under a flight commander's influence has been hitting back at this antagonist causing it blimp losses and Odessa PP loss. The CP northern flank is making a major push on a line of Russians blocking the way to Vilna. To boost the next turn's attack brought over German artillery, which I'm sure the Russian AC has spotted, what is not spotted is the garrison that is reinforcing this front. Southern flank is preparing to remove a Russian salient next turn and forced a retreat on a Russian general. Picked up an AH garrison by Lemberg from the queue, also withdrew the AT from this front to recuperate up by Brest-Litovsk. Also take note of the red Russian 4 garrison to the center east of this CP army. Count 12 Russian units in need of repair at this front. Might that tell the reader something?[;)]
