The best laid plans fail...I was curious what I would see here, and unfortunately I didn't use Nells, or Betties. I have never hit anything with Helens/Sally...or so it seems.

A pleasant opening for the day. I have been trying to nail some bombers and we do good work here. This whole fight is one big ugly mess...

Allied fleet sends some fast transports surging into Manila, flies fighters from Quinhon to Manila, and loses a minesweeper to an Iboat attack, and moves within strike range. Not all the Betty planes flew...as the CAP is much stronger than earlier reports (which I sorta figured on).

Yank fighters of course get thru...and all our torpedo planes miss on their attack run.

Beasts over Cam Ranh Bay...Allied fleet to the south there...I guess they will come and bombard here as the KB is off Aparri too late, but I did scramble to put 400 planes on her, with another 100 arriving in a day or two.

I have been aiming to hit these oilers for several days now...and a Val squadron gets an afternoon shot at them. I suspect the Allies will be able to save them.[:(]

No carrier planes...

Hurricanes sweep Cam Ranh Bay, and two sentai of A6M3 hold them off -- one at 15K for bombers, and another at 32K for Lightnings.

Most Zeke losses are from the 15k band fighters...

It says something pretty bad when the Vietnamese Militia are your strongest ground troops in theater.[;)]
