Is there any way to make maintenance aircrafts able to use again? My idea is put them in repair depot, and see them being repaired in few days or weeks:

In db build 460, in addition the the sensors that are indicated in the unit description, when actually selecting the sensors the A-12A has "active radar seeker" and a "passive radar seeker". Not sure if this is an error.

From the newest patch, there are some questions on the China related additions:

- I didnt find the HQ-19 ABM anywere. Or is the SC-19 suppossed to be the only ABM/ASAT system added?

- Also, the JD-16 Sino-Growler doesnt have a SEAD loadout, but only unarmed stand-off jamming? Sure, we havent seen any equipment on the JD-16 IRL either, but it would be logical for a dedicated ECM fighter to carry some ARMs like YJ-91s.

- Furthermore, the newer J-10C seems to feature an obsolete DECM system (Average Generic DECM) compared to its older J-10B brethren (Advance Generic DECM or even newer KG-600 DECM pod).

- ALso, I would like to again request that the Y-8Q gets a better surface search radar, since it is kinda illogical that the premiere ASW/MPA of the PLAN gets only a 25 nmi ranged surface search radar from the 70s. It's large radome under its chin would be capable to house at least a similiar radar as the much older Y-8X non-ASW capable MPA.
Chinese Military Aviation even suggests that the radar might be even a development of the British Skymaster/Searchwater 2000 radar equipped on China's older Y-8J surveillance planes.
http://chinese-military-aviation.blogsp ... aft-i.html

Ok.

Added SEAD loadout to JD-16. Pair of KG-800 Pods + 2 YJ-91.
Adjusted all J-10 internal DECM sets to average but! we don't actually know what they are early on. This was all guess work when first reported. If you can get Henri K/Kaiser Sozee to jump a fence or whatever to get this info it would be great.
Post 2014 I started adding the KG-600 Pods and removing the internal sets
Adjusted the Y-8J to have a 200nm generic surface radar until we know what it is.
SC-19 was kind of a reach and meets what we think it might do. If you have good sources on new systems will add.

Thanks!

No luck, not even a code or counterpart mentioned, let alone who know it.

The origin of ECM tail claimed to be reported since 2008 when J-10B was sighted, since the material of tail tip is wave-passable. Originally, the J-10A doesn't have that tip, and mounted forward along with RWR and other sensors.

Upper left corner: detail of the J-10s vertical tail. From front to back. Probably an ECM antenna (for front aircraft coverage), a red navigation light, probably “Odd Rods” IFF antenna, a static discharge wick, a rear navigation light, a cover over the ARW-9101 RWR and finally another static discharge wick. Below a closeup of the ventral fins possible containing aerials for communications equipment. Right: (other than what’s already covered) and the parachute housing with ECM transciever below.

I will keep it updated soon.

Question: ship launched ARM (or in general ARM) should be able to target all kind of surface radars? For example surface search & navigation, surface to surface, etc ?
I started thinking on this when i first had to shoot a surface to surface ARM to another ship that was shooting me back but couldn't lock on his FCR.

In regards to the DECM discussion, I've noticed that in most cases, the J-10B/C's podded KG-600 will not be used during PoH calculation, but only the internal Average DECM is. Why is that so? Is there a cooldown time for the podded DECM? I tried both SAM and AAM. During AAM hit calculations, the KG-600 will never be used, while against SAM, it will be used once or twice, but then switched to onboard DECM.

Log file for the SAM engagement attached.

Thanks.

Mgellis suggested man-portable UAV before, so why not bring with anti-toy weapons as well?

Soft kill:
Microwave Gun (anti-UAV)

Portable Communication Jammer

Hard kill:
Net Gun

Portable Laser Turret (need to deploy)

Interceptor (Drone)

Interceptor (Falcon)

And of course, most classical cleaning tool -- the shotgun
(Along with other single-shot firearms, but more effect albeit with shorter range)

Additional man-portable small missile, or LMS, is designed to defeat unexpected threat on both air and surface. Like Javelin but much lighter:

The seeker of the Hidden Blade is pretty weird. Sounds like some sort of Active Infrared.

While a nice idea, I dont think that the PLA will adopt it. They still have yet to adopt the much more mature HJ-12 Sino-Javelin for that matter. The PLA ground-forces in general are very conservative, and probably still stuck in mostly achaic thinking compared to the more avangarde PLAAF and PLAN. Good for China that the PLAN and PLAAF high brass have increasingly more sway over the armed forces these days.

Not to mention; Ground Force combat is still very rudimentary in CMANO.

Looks good now. The DECM is properly used now. And the AAM issue is also resolved.

Great Work!

Mike can we add a hypothetical unit in as Ev-22 Osprey To give US mini carriers (LHA,LHD) some AeW capability?
