Link thanks to @Dysta in the ICBM activation methods thread I made.

First time I have heard of the 5.5 mt warhead... time to request a new unit!

Also, when I heard about the DF-31B, DF-41, and DF-5C with MIRVs, I thought China was giving up on "classic" megaton level nuclear weapons, but I guess I was wrong.

Not quite. DF-5 and 5A are still using 5MT while DF-31 series are estimated 2-3 MT, only DF-5B and rumored DF-41 are MIRV so far. This is why the Nuclear Winter/Autumn scenario (or hoax) will likely related to Chinese nuclear arsenals after the Cold War.

Also, White House does interfere with US Airline Companies not to oblige China's demand to de-recgonize Taiwan as a country. If persists after the deadline, their planes will lost landing permits (maybe transit or even non-stop route) in Chinese air space.

US diplomats in China was "under attack". Unfortunately, only jokes on Ars comment section are upvoted. See the article and find out why:

https://arstechnica.com/science/2018/05 ... ses-alert/
It escalates.

http://www.businessinsider.com/us-diplo ... ack-2018-6

If this is the reason to draw blames against China, or even attempting a false flag operation amid the heat of Trade War and Taiwan Strait Crisis 2018, they will be the first to get hurt (ironically, they are).

EDIT: More at Ars, also Chinese authorities have joined the investigation:

I wonder what missiles they are talking about?

"...Last April, Russian military officials revealed that the troops received a new batch of missiles for S-400, which are capable of striking targets in low orbit..."

40N6 in CMANO is marked [ABM?]. There are yet to have solid information to depict it can stop some terminal RV or ASAT. Consider it's maximum range is exceeded the LEO height, but the sensor suite doesn't have TBM search feature.

Journalists...
That's the missile you are asking of, but it's just another test - it's far away from operational deployment yet.

For 40N6(E) it is declared max height - 185 km.

Another devil has been spoken, if Qatar buy S-400, SA will be dangerously grumpy:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-saud ... SKCN1IY0IW

--------------------------

If US cannot stop 50 Terabytes of F-35 data stolen to the adversaries, how can you expect the resistance to steal 614 Gigabytes of future submarine project out of Navy's sight?

https://thediplomat.com/2015/01/new-sno ... f-35-hack/ (F-35)

EDIT: As expected, this news has been ludicrously spreading all the forums and other media sites. Numerous comments are exchanging between the disastrous mishap of military IT departments, and conspicuous talks that Sea Dragon is just a bait for spies.

Weird, the DF-5A in game has a single 350kt MIRV.

Ahh. No wonder I found these reports strange. It's not S-400 nor S-500 after all.

Is A-235 Nudol in game now? I did posted the news about it years ago, and get ass-whopped by saying it is for ABM.

Good article on the Type 055 which pretty much describes all we know about it until now.

https://thediplomat.com/2018/06/all-you ... destroyer/

I really would like to request some updates on the db entry for this ship (which largely uses the same stats of the Type 052D), as some new radar systems, like the X-band AESA on the integrated mast and the new large size bow sonar, look to be significant improvements compared to earlier classes of Chinese ships. Too bad that there is hardly any data or even estimates about the performance of these new type of sensor systems identified on that ship. What we know is basically that there are no mechanically steered radars on the Type 055 anymore.

Interesting summary (although long) on USN development of sub launched anti ship missile and recent Chinese hacking in the news:

"At some point, the decision has to be made that networks that are not air-gapped and are connected to the outside world in some fashion are not secure enough to gamble such sensitive information on. ... But what's the point in the U.S. developing any of these systems if in the end it is just developing them for its number one technological competitor as well? And the fact that China doesn't have to pay billions upon billions of dollars for this intellectual property—they can steal for virtually nothing—isn't only a loss to American national security, but it actually provides the enemy with a major fiscal edge. And that edge is already being exploited in front of our very eyes on an increasingly unprecedented scale."

Ouch.

TheDrive's comment section can somehow answers that espionage: lacks of moderation.

If real, China would take a lot further look into electronic warfare and acoustic data, than the new missile concept itself[1]. To add insult to injury, the data also included Chinese radar and sonar signatures. That gives China more reason to hack it[2]:

http://military.china.com/important/111 ... 8_all.html (Simplified Chinese)

I've tagged with [#] instead of a full translation:
不过,话说回来,如果中国真的获得了美国海军积累多年的电子对抗数据和潜艇声纹数据库的信息,那么对于中国的潜艇战和反潜战技术都将具有极为重要的意义。这远比美国报道中极力让人注意的“超音速反舰导弹”重要得多[1]。

而且照《华盛顿邮报》的说法,这次被窃取的文件里,还包括美国积累多年的中国雷达、声呐信号特征数据——那这故事就很有意思了,岂不是“物归原主”么[2]?

And who said that "the troops received a new batch of missiles for S-400, which are capable of striking targets in low orbit..." - journalists? So Idk why are we talking about the S-400 when it neither has missile that can do that nor there was "something delivered" at that point.
And about the article you gave - 40N6 will eventually be able to hit targets in LEO IF they develop the missile further, install EO seeker instead of the radar one currently there. Meaning now it can't and no one knows when or even if it will ever get to that point.
Nudol on the other hand is mainly ASAT and was successfully tested from TEL (most likely the S-500's TEL) for the first time few days before that and the chance that this was declared as the ASAT capability is tens of times higher then some mystical 40N6.

This news will surely make Philippio fishermen balling their fists:

http://manilastandard.net/mobile/article/267642
GMA News reported Thursday that fishermen in the area complained that the Chinese Coast Guard were in the habit of sorting through their catch and taking the best without their permission.

In the report, cameras stowed on one of the boats showed the Chinese asking for fish, then leaving when fishermen told them they had not caught any.

Roque said he would ask the fishermen to submit their written statement to prove that they were bullied or that their catch was confiscated.

Looks like the Box Wing Soar Dragon UAV has an official name now: WZ-9 (无侦-9 - Unmanned Recon 9), indicating that the main mission is indeed recon.

Also, it appears that the mysterious supersonic recon drone previously spotted is also in service, designated WZ-8.
