Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Allied #5.

USSR. Germany. With storms raging over Europe, only land combat made this impulse by any of the allies.

Germany. Allies in position to finish off Germany. All they need now is for the weather to cooperate.

Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Axis #7.

Weather. The weather does not cooperate and may save Germany for another turn. Certainly prevents the US from landing in Korea and/or Manchuria.

Why use a transport to pick up a division in the Italian coast? A range six cruiser could have gotten it a lot farther.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Yes. Why? Scheduling/routing confusion/inefficiency. A lot of moving parts and moving towards the US East Coast, Pacific and through the Suez to Asia that this was one of the last naval units moved.

Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Axis #7.

Weather Summary. Actions. With storms raging over Europe, in the China Sea and over Korea and Japan and with neither Germany or Japan having any moves or missions that they remotely need to perform, all three axis powers decide to pass. This gambit is estimated as the best chance the Reich has of surviving into next turn (May/June 1945).

Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. Axis #7.

End of Turn Check. The gambit fails. The question now is can the allies with storms over Germany finish the Reich off this turn?

Turn 34. March/April 1945. Allied #10.

Weather Summary. Actions. US plays an o-chit to double land combat factors for an attack on Berlin. Unprecedented cooperation between the Western Allies and Soviet Union will allow the Western Allies to attack Berlin from all six adjacent hexes. The assault, of necessity, will be a combined US and Great Britain effort.

Soviet cooperation begs the question to what post-war concession have President Truman and Prime Minister Winston Churchill made to Stalin for him to allow the Western Allies access to two Soviet controlled hexes adjacent to Berlin?

But before we get to the Berlin assault we'll take care of all action elsewhere first.
