Detailed combat reporting

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

wow, 8 Corps, 7 Divs and 6 brigs

too bad they were not full !!!

just the Rifle Corps, should of netted me what the whole pocket did

I think we pretty much bleeding each other white

(that PZ Div from AGN, is down to 28% ToE, most of the rest of my armor is in the 50-60% range, I am seeing Russian Guard Rifle Corps with 6000 men (full is about 35,000)

and with that, it is past my bedtime !!!

can't even finish the rest of the turn

What is the meaning of the little coloured arrow in the top left corner of each unit?

What I'd really like to see is the information screen separate from the map.

Imagine the information on one screen and the map on another screen.

Or "grab" the information screen and move it around so you can see the map beneath.

Currently you cannot view the information and the map at the same time.

With all of this detail and info available is WitE Multi-monitor compatible?.  This would really facilitate playablity.

WitE is single window application...

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Joe 98

What is the meaning of the little coloured arrow in the top left corner of each unit?

They show so-called "Soft Factors" and range from "Green" to "Red" ("Soft Factors" are user selectable like Morale, Experience, Supply, Fuel etc.)...

I have 2 of the 3 Eastern Ports

Can't see the third of these ports - is it up by the Finnish line under the fortified zone counter?

Take this and Leningrad starves, then falls? And then you unleash the Finns who can take over the whole of this Northern part of the front. Then - you have both a reserve (unheard of in Russia) and an extra assault battle group.

On my map from Goran there is a small town called Sswiriza up there, on the lake and by the canal?   Is this the key to Leningrad now?

yeapper

hassle is, getting to it, I screwed up early, by being on the wrong side of the river

if I take it, Leningrad is out of supply, but will still have to be beaten down (costly)

the Fins can only come down so far, but still, that would give me about a 10 hex buffer, of decent to great troops, and then free up the northern Ge Troops

I am very close to claiming defeat, I am bled white, I may be able to stablize the line, but really not much I can do on the Off any more

the next week, I had to snatch that SS Div and ship it south to help with a Major pocket, but I needed it up north, to help with the decoy/pressure

in the area the SS were in, I could of drove deep with my Mot Div, but didn't have anything to support it, so would of been a wasted effort
