-Some submarines lost to Japanese ASW forces, it seems Japan commited their carrier groups to the noble task of subhunting....
-Some Japanese submarines and destroyers sunk too....
-Nine German submarines sunk

appears a third front is about to burst fourth ( Spanish front).... interesting
RE: GD 1938 v 2, testgame
USA turn: March 1942
Supplies and equipment are flowing across the Pacific and the Atlantic with no interdiction. Japan is still losing suplly from USN submarines.
Bad news in the Spanish Front as american fighters and bombers run into a swarm of Bf-109G´s, losing 200 aircraft, 60 of them heavy bombers. A board of inquiry in the USAAF is investigating why obsolete P-35´s and P-36´s are being used in Spain. For new, more P-38´s are being requested....

200??? Come on!!!
Comrade Stalin had such great hopes concerning the American presence in Europe... It seems however that the Americans will be needing help themselves.

The US fighter hardware isn't good enough to go h2h with 109Gs. They were good against the Italians. It seems they were caught in a surprise move by the Germans to directly defend Spain. It was going to happen eventually but the US has just now gotten a foothold in Spain. Bad timing for them.
They will recover.

.......NEWS FLASH.....
Eastern front- saw limited airstrikes and arty bombardments but for the most part this turn, the eastern front was quiet. there are rumors that some within the German High Command are putting pressure on Hitler to forge a ceasefire with the Russians. Air superiority on the eastern front this turn was still ours.
Western front- strengthened fighter forces and status is still contested.
Spanish front- saw the movement of German forces, both veteran and new units sent south in very large numbers as it appears our Italian friends are on the verge of defeat. there is currently an argument going on within OKW to send our Panzer forces south, but as of now, Hitler has refused.
Japan- small airstrikes and arty bombardments on the Chinese and Thai fronts were conducted, but no large scale battles. Japanese high command has decided to send more reinforcements to the Thai front as well as the Chinese front. We now have enough reserves built up to provide more units for both fronts. Air superiority still remains ours

So now the Germans are facing us in Spain, I'll bet the forces have drained France of it's occupation, we'll have to start planning for the invasion of France.
Another round of 50 to 60 axis planes shot down, a routine event but still staggering amounts of aircraft when the sum of the last 10 turns is considered.
The Japanese air units are forced to pause their offensive in the Burmese theater. Had enough yet ?
Europe, the British aircraft strike at will.

Eastern front air superiority status - Luftwaffe maintains control
Western Front- contested
Spanish front- too early to tell
Germany- eastern front- some bombing took place along the front and in the Soviet rear, but other than that eastern front was quiet.
Spanish front- further Luftwaffe reinforcements are being brought to the front, along with several ground units. Panzer forces are being moved to this front as we speak or either new units being created then moved.
Italy- with the arrival of German forces hopefully now we can stabilize the front in the Spanish theater.

I´m doing what i can to try and make lion_of_judah report more what is happening. Truth be told, the last turn i saw (for Germany, som days ago) was very quiet...
Maybe people can be convinced to do more AAR... I don´t know...

The Soviets have nothing important to report. Trying to build more factories but this takes time.
RE: GD 1938 v 2, testgame
By the way in the newest version of the scenario Soviets have no level 2 medium tanks. When you research it you get nothing.

RE: GD 1938 v 2, testgame
The Soviets should already have had researched Medium Tank II by the beginning of the game. If not i think that is an error. I will contact bombur, and ask him, if I can confirm this.
EDIT: I can´t confirm this. The 200L version has the Soviets knowing medium tank II already at the beginning of the game. It is working as designed that they don´t get anything for knowing it. This is to better represent the leap in technology that soviets had, from the early fast-tanks to the T-34s.

I thought, there was one thing that I could do to kick off this AAR into alittle more action, and that was to post pictures of the current situation, at the start of turn 60 (July 20th 1942).
Here is how the eastern seaboard of USA looks:
